I don't know if I can say that, but there is one thing I can say for sure.

The best moment of both shows was in Nashville.

RoughGod

Better venue.  Better Setlist. Better Playing. Better Crowd.  War Begun. Fireworks.  No Brainer.

better crowd....elaborate please....not enough pot smoking, dancing, too much talking....wasn't there but listened to the show and it sounded great.
the fruit bats love makin' made all the kids cry

Are you from Louisville RoughGod?  I think if you were you'd feel differently.  Nashville may have been a better concert...but Louisville was a better night.  It was about the accomplishments of the boys and how far they have come.  Also, back stage the Mayor made them official music ambassadors of the city, I think.  Being from Louisville..that show was one night I'll never forget.

i'd disagree. man, nashville was awesome and all, but...

that dondante jam was EPIC.

EPIC indeed.  I could not stop thinking the whole time what fitting tribute they were paying to an old friend.   :'(

with as much emotion that this song has, I have a hard time seeing how Jim can even play it...

easy way

yeah, I can barely handle it in the crowd...let alone being so close to the man behind the message.  :'(

I will say that the Dondante from L-ville was def. the better of the 2 weekend versions...probably the best one I've heard.

Kris

it was a fourteen minute heartbreaker.

Heres my 2 cents...

If you were at both shows you wouldnt have such a pressing need to shout from the rooftops that one "dominated" the other. People often compare shows but not in this manner. You dont even provide any discussion or comparions, just a list that states everything about Nashville was better, which one could already assume is your opinion since you plainly stated that Nashville "dominated".

That leads me to believe you were at Nashville but not Louisville, and the 10 page thread of people gushing about how great it is might have gotten annoying to you. I could understand that. I just dont see the need to push one show at the expense of the other. "Nashville dominated Louisville. Hands down.". OK...and?

I was at Louisville, but not Nashville. Which show was better? I dunno. I have no idea. What I do know is this band plays balls to the wall every time they take the stage, so Im going to go out on a limb and say both shows were awesome. I dont really feel a need to say which one was better. I dont really care. All I know is that Louisville was amazing and one of the best nights of my life. Im sure many others feel that way. Im also sure many at the Nashville show would say the same thing. And guess what? They'd all be right.
Say friend, you got any more of that good sasparilla?

Anyone care to elaborate or send me in the right direction as to where I can find an explanation about this Dondante tribute talk?

mattsmithyo

I'm quite sure the boys truly enjoyed playing for their hometown crowd.  It was a really special night for everyone who was there.  I saw what looked like the bands' parents on the side of the stage.  Jim got to jam with the kids from the Louisville Leopard Orchestra.  They didn't have that in Nashville.  so there!

Sorry guy. Didn't mean to offend or shit on anybody's time in L-ville (I had a blast).  I think you're taking my post a bit to serious.

I was at both, Nashville was a better show.  I told you why earlier in the thread.  No need to elaborate...
