Oh that one makes me weep.  It did even before he died, and now it's very hard to listen.

Rolling Stones - Exile on Main Street is filling some of my time until the new System of a Down album is let loose.

John Butler Trio - a show from 3/12/04 - I just came across this band. I'm going to see them next month, I'm so excited!

Anyone who's seen JBT, how do the albums compare to their live sound? I don't have any of their albums yet, but I will surely be adding to my collection.

I'm seeing them at Kaboom in SF on the 21st. I'm really excited. I've read a lot about them. Any way I could get a copy of that show?

I was thinking about going to Kaboom. It sounds like a lot of fun. I've heard the fireworks are spectacular. I'm actually seeing JBT at the Great American Music Hall the very next day. I don't know anyone who will be taping the show though. You should check out the live music archive, there are over 70 shows on that site. I downloaded the show I've been listenting to from the JBT website. There are a bunch there too.

That's a seriously great album. It's kind of overshadowed by the others, but man, 'Pretty Girls Make Graves' is my favorite Smiths song ever.

Oh yeah, that's a great one. My favorite right now is This Charming Man, but it changes quite fast, so many great songs...

How bizarre.  I was JUST in the car talking about how much I love this album.  I really, really love this album.  It's one of those ones where no song is my favourite, the whole thing all together just works.  Kind of like a hand in glove.  (har)

What a coincidence!
By the way, anyone else agree about what an amazing guitarist Johnn Marr is? It's unlike anyone else I know, he's one of the few guitarists that really has his own style. It's subtle but rocking at the same time. Like Johnny Quaids guitar lines on The Way That He Sings!

Just listen to Last Night I Dreamt That Somebody Loved Me. That just almost transcends the instrument if you know what I mean... Wish all those fancy thousand notes a minute guitarists would listen to that! Except Kirk Hammett, he should go back to playing thunderous three-minute solos  ;D
