the new album is disappointing at best. I like pendulum but that is it. I yearn for the days when they pushed themselves.

don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

Only listened to "lightening bolt" twice but first impression is i like it.  I put it in the Pearl Jam 2.0 family of albums (post avocado) which lowers my expectations.  I really like infallible, pendulum, swallowed whole... nice little run on the album.

Can't wait to see them in Nov.

You're entitled to your opinion.  Just know that your opinion... is wrong.

Yeah, how are people disappointed at this band's TENTH album? They've achieved more than 99% of other bands have.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

I've never seen so many fake tickets out there on Craigslist for these Brooklyn shows .  I'm not losing faith just yet though, I will be in the building.

the prices on stubhub are infuriating.

im really suspicious that they sold seats behind the stage. can anybody explain that? is the back of the stage open to see the band?

Yes if you get seats behind the stage you can still see the band, obviously it's not ideal though and probably more of a last ditch effort thing.  Last time I saw PJ was at MSG and they all turned around to face those seats when they played Elderly Woman....

I was directly behind the stage in Pittsburgh and it wasn't bad at all, it beats being in the nose bleed section. And yes the back of the stage is completely open with not a lot of obstruction. Eddie occasionally turned around and walked toward the back of the stage to acknowledge us. There were two screens (not sure if they were provided by PJ or the arena) for us to glance up at too to get a viewpoint from the front.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

good to know. thank you

That's great that you got in!  Was Saturday's show sick or what?  I mean...34 songs...are you kidding me?!?
I got to talk a bit with Jeff Murray and his friend this afternoon in front of Barclays.

Roll call for Philly 2?  I know the following are attending:

Tired Eyes
Jeff Murray
EricM (his 1st PJ show)

That show was just incredible.  It would be hard for me to say that wasn't one of the 5 best concerts I've ever been to.  Oh and seeing Dennis Rodman rock out on the rail was great haha

armando

These shows have been a slow tease as I wait for my double shot in Charlottesville and Charlotte.

Their energy seems like it's been ramped up a bit. New album, a few bust outs. Lucky us!
The fact that my heart's beating is all the proof you need.

Sadly EricM is going to miss the show tomorrow due to work obligations.  Bummer.
For anyone who is going...there is a gathering of PJ fans at McFadden's in the sports complex before the shows both today & tomorrow.  The official times are 3-6 but some folks will come earlier and/or stay later.

Tour stat thread at the link below.  After 6 shows they have played 87 different songs on this tour so far.

Enjoy the show everyone.  Really bummed I'll be missing this as I was really looking forward to finally seeing PJ.

If anyone needs a ticket to Philly2, mine is for sale. It's a hard ticket so we'd have to meet up somewhere convenient for both of us. Lower level, side stage section 122. Face + fees = $97.00
