Off The Record is the one they opened with at Bonnaroo right..if so i really liked that one.  I didn't catch any of the other song names because i didn't know if they were covers or originals.

but i did pick up on the Dylan cover...amazing.

does anyone have the setlist of the Bonnaroo performance?
Hold my life until I'm ready to use it

corey

It's in the Bonnaroo thread, but is just there by memory.

QuoteO I feel the same pain.

Once in a while I try to visit the forum, but everything is changing so fast. It's so hard to keep up with everything written.

Don't you guys have a life !  ;)

Ha Ha! Yeah, have you seen the Pearl Jam forum?  I wouldn't even bother with it and I'm a huge fan.
Maybe my new ES 335 will keep me here to a minimum, by that I mean a couple of times a week. Hey it's better than crack!  :D

Holy Shit!!! My second favorite band in the world is Pearl Jam and I feel the exact same way.  Great Minds, Right?
There's Still Time.........

fitzcarraldo

Right, Sweatboard!  ;)
Has the band played 'Oxen' recently? Is it going to be on the new record?
Weeks go by like days (Damn, that's so true), that's like 13 days until the release!

I am proud of my nerdome.  I worked very hard to achieve it.  :)

But remember you can never stop working on it or it will fade. Keep working at it Megan. The world needs its nerds  :D

Runnin' from somethin' that isn't there

Just got the Athens show. Love Don Dante. The magic is still there...

Tore

Don Dante is abolutely amazing. Love the screams. Think this could be a new favourite. Goes even further from It Still Moves. Glad to see the band evolving. Too many bands seem to be stuck in the same world throughout. As long as the MMJ-sound is there, I can't praise enough the ability this band has to move forward, and experiment. Sure hope they do a thorough european tour!

Is this song about this pooch? AWWW He's gorgeous.
I can't wait to hear this song! Hopefully 6/25

darkglow

there's many live versions out there.. b-ham.. athens.. NC.. bonnaroo.. i listen to all the variations of it daily.. glad to hear that more people are digging this song too.. i can listen to it and forget where i am and how i felt before the song started and when it's over i'm just awe-struck, which i then subsequently start the song over.

darkglow

i especially like the bonnaroo version.. the sax in the end really does it for me.. i remember at the birmingham show watching jimmy try to finish it off with the omnichord and after it was over i could see pat saying "what the fuck was that?" i dont think they'd figured out an ending for it at that time. afterwards we asked them about it and they just kinda laughed and shrugged about it.

EC, to you i say:

word.

that song is amazing.

THAT was the sax song! Holy crap, that song was beautiful. I'm downloading the bit torrent so i can hear that again. What a beautiful song.

Guys, Eisey did this awesome thing where he wrote the setlist on his shirt as it was happening.  :)

That's a good idea, if you got the band to sign that would be quite the collector's item.

I already had Tommy's signature on it. That was the first thing on the shirt. I found him after M. Ward on saturday and talked him for a couple minutes, got him to sign it. then i wrote at the top:

Wearin the Jacket
Bonnaroo 2005

and then wrote the set-list down the left side.

It looks pretty sweet. Good thing i had a lot of practice with upside down writing this year. It's kind of hard to write on yourself. Think I should wash it or leave all my Bonnaroo grime on it?

Hell yes! I have four stars! C'mon dodgeball!!

corey

It could start to smell.  :)
That might not be pleasant.
If you wrote with a Sharpie, I'd say that you should wash it.

:)

Umm...I remember you gave me off the record, and your brother told I Could Never Take the Place of Your Man. Actually we might have written Don Dante on there too. Does anybody have teh full setlist? I could post mine with the gaps in it.
