This asshole is nodding off during a debriefing on the California wildfires...How sad is that..I'm not a very political person, but that's a DISGRACE!! It just goes to show how LITTLE he actually cares about the average person...He should be ashamed but I'm sure he isn't :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :( :(
ps-those of you not from the U.S.A......were not ALL pigs :(

Not trying to stand up for the guy, but are you saying you've never fallen asleep during something you should've been listening to?

Wouldn't insurance have quite a bit to do with people's homes and lives?  And is he somehow personally responsible for the fires or the people?

Pot meet kettle, kettle - pot

I'll be over here while you two get to know each other

I'm saying if you want to crucify the guy, so be it, just pick better reasons - there's plenty of 'em.  Because he nods off is kinda....well, weak.

The blindly partisan BS is getting old - IMHO Rep or Dem both suck so much ass that the whole system needs be replaced - they are just different sides of the same coin - it bothers me that more people dont realize this and kick and scream

Look at the current candidates for president - offer up more douchebags to replace the current douchebag.

All I'm saying is that whining gets annoying, especially when its about something everyone of us does or has done.  It also gets annoying when everyone can point fingers, but fail to offer up a reasonable solution.

Oh well, he fell asleep - people fall asleep driving cars.  If you want something to complain about - there's plenty of real issues that could be addressed, but no, it seems like the status quo is to say how much worse someone is than someone else - not what makes a person better.

We all know what problems exist in our gov't at this time.  Bush sucks, Cheney sucks - tell me something I dont know.  How about why any of these schmucks are any better?

I was watching Bill Maher with John Edwards as guest - that guy is seriously creepy - like the guy in the last stall of the truck stop bathroom creepy.  And I'm not even gonna get started about the line up of douchebags that were present for both the Republican and Democratic debates.

My first instinct is to put my head in the sand and hope it will all go away, but it won't.  So, my next option is to vote 3rd party this year - I don't care about who's running - I want to show my support to end this craptacular 2 party system - I wouldn't classify myself as having faith in any of them, but I would like to show my support to get more than just a choice between a Jackass and an bloated Elephant - neither wing does it for me - they both suck.

and I haven't had a cig in almost 24 hrs - I've been getting a little on edge today - not to mention I HATE politics - its the ultimate way to blur the line between fact and emotion

LizKing531

Here's the best way to describe how I view the whole system

Its a good thing he was napping, otherwise he would look like this.

Like I said - so he fell asleep - Big Deal - does that change the outcome of the California fires?

I also said - if you want to crucify somebody - whatever - but at least present good reasons because there are plenty of them, whining gets kinda old

OMFG he fell asleep!!! he's the first to ever do that!!!

I think the guy is a dumbass as well - but to get all "Wont someone think of the children?!" about him nodding off in a meeting is kinda weak

You might want to reread your own post  "I'm not a very political person" - you seem to have quite the emotional reaction

To quote my own quote "politics - its the ultimate way to blur the line between fact and emotion"

It comes down to respect for the people who have suffered in the fires. I bet if he  were at a  meeting with his  Energy Commision  he would be wide eyed and ready to roll.
Sometimes I just have to pinch myself to make sure the last 6 3/4 years has been for real.  Thank god for term limits.

Does anyone want to start ?
I guess it was the respect aspect that had me so angry ...sorry if I pissed anyone off...I really value everyones opinion on this forum....except Liz King ;D ;Djust kidding friend!

Like I was speaking of before - acting on emotion - I see some nerves were hit with rccola

I never said he was a good guy, worth while, or anything of the sort.  I said - Like no one has ever fallen asleep during something important?

rc stated:  "were talking about peoples homes and lives not an insurance seminar"

Wouldn't falling asleep at an insurance seminar in California be to the same effect?

And - so he was the only one in the whole room who dozed off?

I'm questioning the bloodthirsty reaction over someone nodding of in a meeting who is already on their way out of office - that's it

Ah fuck it - I see logic and reason have no place in politics - You either have to desperately cling to one side or the other - there's no room for non-partisan observers pointing out the fallacy in both sides

Fair enough - no hard feelings?

My attempt was to come from the aspect of imaprtial observer - I really dont have a side in politics - they all suck balls.  I guess it just strikes me odd that you see a lot of finger pointing about how bad the two asshats are - but the replacements IMHO are just as big of dipshits.

I wish there was a solution for dumbasses running this country - but it looks like there's no such luck this go round either.

I would like to see a 3rd or 4th party come into play in my lifetime

LizKing531

I spend too much time on Fark.com threads during the day - it gets me riled up - especially after my 5th cup of coffee & no cigs   :o
