Quote Eli is just clutch.

Yes he is and people hate him because he is a Manning.

Anyone who knows anything about NFL football knows how good he is. All you haters can just watch on Sundays.

Pitt blew 3 consecutive key plays that could have secured the win in the 4th quarter but failed because of stupid penalties--they beat themselves.
Sittin' here with me and mine.  All wrapped up in a bottle of wine.

When you QB throws 4 ints and get sacked that much you don't beat yourself.  You have to give credit to the other team.  Even if they didn't have those penalties there is no guarantee they would've scored with the way the Giants D was playing.  Pitt played solid D down in the Red Zone and that kept them in the game early.  Giants won the 4th quarter 12-0 and that was the game.

0/9 on 3rd down is not beating yourselves.

the fact about this game is actually the Giants should've beat them by a lot more.  They owned them in the 1st half but couldn't score a TD. if a few of those FG's are TD's the Giants win big.  Eli is in the same category as Ben and in the last two years has outplayed him.  People just won't admit it still because he's Peyton's brother but Eli is one of the best QB's in football right now.  He has more come from behind 4th quarter wins than just about anyone in football in the last few years and to me that is much better than stats and big numbers.  Ben hold on to the ball way too long, he is to blame for his sacks just as much as his O line.

Yeah, and if a few of those INTs werent INTs, we win the game. When youre playing the #1 D in the NFL, youre not gonna get a TD every time youre in the red zone.

And you gotta be kidding me if you think Eli is as good as Roethlisberger, and especially kidding that hes been better than him the last 2 years.

Eli
G  GS Comp Att Pct    Yds Avg TD Int Sck SckY Rate
16  16  297 529 56.1 3,336 6.3 23 20  27  217   73.9  (2007)
7     7  137 223 61.4 1,588 7.1   9   4   6   42     88.9 (2008)

Ben
G   GS Comp Att Pct     Yds  Avg TD Int Sck SckY Rate
15  15  264   404 65.3 3,154 7.8  32 11  47   347 104.1 (2007)
7     7  109    181 60.2 1,352 7.5  10  7  23   146 85.7    (2008)

Well, I think 2007 speaks for itself. Roeth had almost 10% higher completion percentage, 9 more TDs, 9 fewer INTs, and a QB rating 30.2 points higher

This year is pretty even, but before yesterday Roethlisbergers QB rating was again much higher than Mannings. And if you consider Roethlisberger has been sacked this year almost as much as Manning was for all of 2008, plus hes played better competition, its fair to say Roethlisberger is having a better year.

1 of the best stats to judge a QB by is yards per attempt though bc it really demonstrates their efficiency. Eli's the last 2 years are 6.31 YPA, and 7.12 YPA. Ben's have been 7.81 YPA, and 7.47. Again nuff said

Roethlisberger has been in talks for the NFL MVP this year, and havent heard anyone say that about Manning. You switch each QBs offensive lines, and it wouldnt even be close. Eli would look like a turkey 2 days before Thanksgiving behind our offensive line

Eli Manning took Ole Miss to their first major bowl game in decades

Eli Manning was the 1st pick of the NFL draft

Eli Manning led the Giants to a Super Bowl win

And, of course, Eli Manning is a shitty QB

whatever, I guess you know more about football than I will ever know

Wow, what a great way to determine how good of a NFL player youll be. I think Tim Couch was the #1 pick too, and I could go on and on with that list.

Last time I checked, Roethlisberger has a SB win too

I never said Eli is shitty, he might be in the Top 10 QBs in the NFL, but if you think hes better than Roethlisberger when looking at their career statistics, your lying to yourself

And I can understand it, because Eli Manning is not an elite QB in this league. He played very well in the playoffs, but he is probably not even 1 of the 10 best QBs in the NFL
Eli is their achilles, and probably will be his entire career - unless the rest of their team really sucks

my bad, I thought you were saying Eli was a shitty QB.

The Giants' "achilles" beat you yesterday and you are a sore loser b/c for some reason you hate Eli Manning. Get over it man, you lost to him! Plain and simple.  ;D

the achilles on a reigning super bowl champion doesnt equate to being shitty necessarily, but it does mean youre not 1 of the best in the league

my pops is from NYC, so ive seen and heard about as much of the GMen as any team outside of the Steelers. Hes good, but hes just not as good with Roethlisberger

and I dont see how im being a sore loser. Im angry we lost, mostly due to our pathetic OLine and ridiculous call of putting our OLB in as our long snapper, but why wouldnt I be? NYG is a very good team, Manning just isnt a very good QB, hes above average. I have no problem losing to a good team, its when we lose to teams like Cleveland that I have a problem with  ;)

I'm not looking at career stats...and I said in an earlier post it is not about #'s.  My point is just that Eli has been as about as good as anyone in the last few years including Ben.  What you also don't seem to realize is that there is a reason Eli doesn't get sacked as much as Ben.  Ben hold on to the ball way too long.  Eli gets rid of it and steps up in the pocket when he feels pressure.  This is one of the biggest things to being a good QB.  All I know is yesterday they went head to head and Eli didn't make any big mistakes against the best D in football while Ben threw 4 ints.  That is what matters.

also

Manning and the Giants are 20-5 in their last 25 games, including the playoffs...

that tells me in the best way how good Eli has been over the last 2 years....Wins are what matter.

I think there are instances when Roeth holds onto the ball to so long (so he can try to make a play), but dont give me this BS about how Eli gets rid of it

Hes probably behind the best OL in the NFL, and even against as good of a pass rushing team as PIT, he had all the time in the world on most plays.

Roethlisberger rarely has 2.3 seconds with our sorry excuse of an OLine

And Ben threw 2 INTs, he had 4 INTs

Considering we lost the turnover battle 4-0, I feel pretty good it was that close of a game. Winners aside, that felt like a playoff game yesterday and it was awesome.

I happen to think Eli is pretty good. It's foolish to base this one game on who's the better quarterback.

I can't find an official stat for 4th quarter comebacks anywhere but I do believe Ben has more than Eli.

I just think it's funny that you hate Eli Manning and you will
always hate him, even if he fucking cures cancer, you will
hate Eli Manning.

that's all, no more, no less. Just giving you a little bit of a
hard time. You can handle this, right? If not, PM me and I

I dont even wanna know where you found that pic, and Im still a little dumbfounded as to why you think I hate Eli Manning

I think/know Roethlisberger is a better QB, thats all. Nothing against Eli, he just isnt as good as Ben, and thats the reason I started the argument/point/proof in the first place  8-)

There's an art to hating Eli Manning. Not just him but the whole crew of them. Tracy, you know if Cooper had played ball for longer, State fans would have learned to hate him too.  ;)
Evey: Are you, like, a crazy person?
V: I am quite sure they will say so.
