Easy Rider. Not sure why it took me this long to see it.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

Serpico - Awesome!  I want his beard.

The King of Kong - Incredible!  One of the best docs I've ever seen.

Jamon Jamon.  Penelope Cruz is HOT.

24 07 (Shane Meadows).  Beautifully composed - even the missus enjoyed it!
The trouble with the straight and the narrow is it's so thin, I keep sliding off to the side

Once Upon A Time In The Midlands- Not bad, certainly a more upbeat film then some of Shane Meadow's others. This is England and Dead Man's Shoes were better. There were some spots that I laughed out load. I believe A Room For Romeo Brass is next on my Netflix list, or maybe it's Northern Soul. I really am enjoying Shane Meadow's films. I owe you a pint for recommanding them DB.

I didn't realize the women who played Shirley is Moaning Myrtle in the Harry Potter films.

Shane Meadows admits that Once Upon A Time was a mistake hence it's absence from his boxset. I like it OK, mainly because it features a very funny Ricky Tomlinson (Royle Family) but it's his worst movie without any doubt.
I love A Room For Romeo Brass!!! Be warned though, it's a little strange & very low-key. Paddy Considine give another incredible performance! Northern Soul is a short (30mins) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0428895/
God will forgive them. He'll forgive them and allow them into Heaven.....I can't live with that.

I remember seeing Jamon Jamon years & years ago for the nudity  :-[  ;)

Pleased you liked 24/7 Mark, you've got three excellent movies to look forward to now!

Confetti - brit comedy starring Martin Freeman (Tim from the Office) & Robert Webb (Peep Show) OK but nothing special.

Not technically a movie, but watching the complete Mr Bean collection with my boy. Not sure what's funnier, Rowan Atkinson antics or the boy laughing hysterically at said antics.

Did you see this MJ? I'm surprised they have A Northern Soul to rent. I think i have it as an extra on my Dead Man's Shoes DVD.

I did. It's Romeo Brass I have coming, not Northern Soul. They didn't have 24 7 yet available....yet. poopy.

I am getting a hefty tax refund and a bonus from the fine folks at Nestle, I will be purchasing all his films. I really like the films and love how he uses several of the same actors through many of them. He's got a great eye too I think

Trois Couleurs: Rouge - a brilliant film! Having seen all three now I want to go back to Blue & watch them again.
I also want to buy La Double Vie De Véronique...

I'm leaning towards Red right now but that might just be because it was the last one I watched. Have you seen any more of Kieslowski's movies?

Only those three. From what I've read A Short Film About Killing, A Short Film About Love & The Double Life of Veronique are all very good.

I haven't seen Wings Of Dersire, I will have to pick up a copy. What are your other favourite foreign films?

Some of mine that spring to mind are Amelie, Cinema Paradiso, Jean De Florette & Manon Des Sources, La Gloire De Mon Père & Le Château De Ma Mère, Tillsammans (Together) & Lilya 4-Ever by Lukas Moodysson, Sex And Lucia & Lovers Of The Arctic Circle by Julio Medem, Goodbye Lenin! & Children of Heaven, Color Of Paradise and the brilliant Baran by Iranian director Majid Majidi...I'm sure there are some I've forgotten + lots of Japanese movies.

Yeah it's one of those movies that I know all about but just never got round to watching for one reason or another. I also ordered The Lives Of Others.

Coming in the next few months I've got No Country For Old Men, American Gangster, Into The Wild, Darjeeling Limited, Bee Movie, Extras Finale Special, The Assassination of Jesse Blah Blah Blah, Gone Baby Gone, Before the Devil Knows You're Dead, Reservation Road & Into The Valley Of Elah. I might cancel one or 2 of them if they get Japanese release dates.
