There is no way I can see this selling out before public release. As a fellow UL fan, I hardly believe the OAR listenin' frat boys down there will buy into this...

What sucks is even if my friends get tickets I can't use them with out a student ID. With so much going on in Summer '11, one show potentially in the seats and not the floor will be okay. Hell I'll sit behind the stage I don't care this is fantastic news. I've been freaking out for a good 2 hours now. I'm gonna have panic attacks and hot flashes and not be able to sleep until I get purchase my tickets.

just wondering - why wouldn't you be able to use a ticket your friend buys for you?  it just says that a valid student ID is needed for each student ticket purchased (up to a max of 5 per student).  it doesn't say that they'll be checking @ the door to make sure each student ticket is actually being used by a student.

buuuut, i've never been to an event there so maybe they always check @ the door for that & they didn't say it because it's just assumed.  idk.

at any rate - i hope you get to be on the floor  :D

"We are not checking IDs at the door. We are checking IDs at the ticket window. One ticket per ID. The ID must be a valid, full-time ID."

It sounds like there will be a lot of tickets on eBay before long.  Beer money for the students anyone?

This is the day after my birthday and it would be a great celebration but I have already told myself that I would only be traveling to Kentucky for a show if you were able to make it from new hampshire. since I am doing the hangout and trying to save some money, the fact that you aren't gonna be able to attend with me makes it much easier to say no, plus the frat boys

As Penny says, we have to be patient.  I noticed it was the day after your birthday when  I added this show to the forum calendar, then went to do a Birmingham to Lexington mapquest just out of curiosity, but the page wouldn't load.  Fate?

love that mmj is billed as the "spring concert".  sounds like party dresses and corsages are called for.

I've been going to concerts at UK for 20 years and it's awesome.  This will be the first time seeing a show at Memorial Coliseum(don't ever recall one).  It's not like yall are thinking with frat boys and prom dresses.  Frat boys are at their parents summer home in hilton head and have bad taste in music.  This is going to be te best 25 dollar show ever and I get to sleep in my own bed.

I am very greatful for this show being only an hour away, but yeah I would love another riverfront show this summer, maybe late august.

Tried looking up that statement on the facebook page and could not find it.  Just a tad bit worried since we can get student tickets through family members and want to make sure they are not checking ID's.

It's all good. If you get a ticket you are good. I have called and double checked. They are only checking student id's at ticket purchase not on entry.
