I enjoy sound tribe shows, but not necessarily the kind of music I'd want to watch on a webstream.  poor choice of bands.

Can't believe the day is here!  Can't believe the view from our condo....staring at the gulf on this lovely morning, getting ready to take a stroll down the beach to check out the stage set up.

Thanks you to all the forum members for the awesome anniversary cake! This is the way to celebrate!!!  Beach, best band, friends, yummy southern seafood, and plenty of beer! Oh, and did I mention that the hot tub last night was nothing short of sublime. Except for when the kid on E decided to jump off the wall into it.  Sheesh, that was frightening.

Trish, Sounds like you're havig a blast already. It's always a good thing when you can take an early morning stroll on the beach.

I hope you and Bob have a great anniversary, and get a killer MMJ show.

Enjoy.

can I just say one more time how bummed I am MMJ isn't going to be shown?    I'm watching the stream now.   The audio is very good and the video is excellent, w/ multiple camera angles.   Would be a great substitute for being there.   :'( :'( :'( :'(

Maybe the Jacket will play so hard and loud it will divert the cameras from STS9 and their repetitive ambient sounds?
Sometimes when I get in my zone, you'd think I was stoned, but I never as they say, touched the stuf

I guess we should have known they wouldn't be shown.  I'll bet it was the bands decision with the big webcast coming up, they wouldn't want to distract from it.  I can totally understand that.
I'm digging, digging deep in myself, but who needs a shovel when you have a little boy like mine.

Grace Potter was HOT and the Nocturnals kicked ass. Then she sang Honky Tonk Woman with Warren Haynes.

Bummer no MMJ. There is a TBA on Sunday, but I agree with the thought they want to keep it under wraps until their own webcast.

the stream has been working all day - now it's crapped out.   I suspect the force of MMJ across the beach has knocked out the sts feed.

bluesky

YEAH! blue sky! wish i had made it down!!!  :)

So I decided to come on down and get in line and I am the first person in the left line. Mmj is currently soundchecking. Just heard holdin on to black metal and they r currently playing something I don't know but I haven't listened to the new album yet. The first words were blue sky though...looks like we will b getting new tunes after all!

Hey All... This is cousin of The Golden Eagle....I could only get as far as the soundboard last night but it was still a great spot. I had to see Warren Haynes earlier (another favorite of mine) thereby sacrificing a prime spot near the front for MMJ. great Day one of the festival!
