Rome got treated to one helluva show tonight! Tons of goodies, and the whole 2nd side of The Wild, Innocent, and E Street Shuffle! 

Sure hope this tour continues beyond Europe, and Rio, and we'll get some fall shows stateside. This type of show screams for a US encore!!!

And here it is. NYC Serenede in full from Rome. Beautifully done, and one of Bruce's Holy Grail tunes that doesn't get played very often. Pretty  sure the last time was at MSG in Nov.09 during the whole album WIESS show. This song closing the album that night got one of the loudest ovations I've ever seen any of his songs get. It's amazing to me they played this to such a large, festival type audience.   Fantastic job by the Rome Symphony Strings, and love all their smiles during the ending.     

Edit to say this was only the 8th time NYCS was played since 1975, and 4th since 1999. Pretty rare live performance considering the large amount of shows played since 1975, and especially the amount played in the 2000's.

I just watched bruces keynote speech at SXSW 2012. its pretty  and im gonna use it for a paper i have to write in a comm class.

That really is one heck of a good speech.    Bruce is a great writer, and public speaker, and really does shine in spots like that, IMO.

If you can ever find a transcript of the eulogy he gave for Clarence Clemons that would be another one worth checking out.  He had the great line I'll never forget: "Clarence didn't leave the band when he died, he leaves when we die."
