Well, more time to celebrate NYE before the show.  Hopefully we all can be in the first few rows.  Let's also hope the cluster**** of the previous pre-sales will be avoided.

I like the way you think Ben.

Thanks Yac for doing that.   I was really curious so I appreciate it.   I'm a little surprised but there are certainly pros/cons.

The next thing to stress about is how many tix we can buy in the pre-sale.   If it's only 2, that will REALLY be a bummer.

As long as Roll Call can come through with some prime ones.

That's a pretty big assumption, and I'm surprised you use Philly as your example of a great seated show.   Wasn't the sale for that a disaster, if I recall correctly?   The last thing I want to do is get mediocre seats, get better seats later through general sale, get pissed at roll call, then try and sell my tix while dealing w/ the will call BS.

This will be my 1st time dealing w/ pre-sale - what was cluster**** all about?

More of a BIG hope than an assumption. I'm expecting the worst, but hoping for the best.

As for Philly, I was talking about the show itself being a great one for a seated venue. The pre-sale was pretty messed up, and this year did suck as far as seats available. I got lucky with a 10th row through Roll Call, and upgraded through the general sale. I know others weren't so lucky.

The Mann pit the year before was filled with Roll Callers, and was also a great show. I'm really hoping Roll Call gets some prime seats for NYE, as they did for that show.  If not, I'm prepared to pass, and give it a go at the general sale.

Years of practice trying for Bruce tix has taught me patience, and the willingness to pass on the first seat offered, or ones I'm not happy with. It can be trying, but there almost always seem to be great seats available as the show gets closer. The Mann show this year is a good example. A few pits, and low rows were made available a day or two before the show.

Read the other posts.  In short, for all the shows, the vast majority had trouble getting tickets, even GA tickets.  We kept on getting "sold out" messages or "not available".  Then someone found a backdoor to getting tickets, and that helped for GA venues.  But for The Mann Center in Philly, Roll Callers got some ok but not great seats.

This is going to be a big deal in whether Roll Call redeems themselves or is forever grumbled about.   We NEED them to come through w/ good seats for NYE.

In the past I think Roll Call has been restricted to 2, but I'm with you in hoping for more.

A little strange about the no GA seats considering I'm seeing Jack White there at the of the month and that show is GA Floor.  I also would not go by what they said today on the phone.  The show was just officially announced today and the Arena itself probably has no clue as far as ticketing goes.

Don't mean to be a party-pooper but if it is seats and not GA, i'm not sure Mrs. HH and I will be making the trip to Boston.

We are both definitely in for 3 nights of GA at Port Chester! But, if after 3 days of shows there, with no repeats, we would need to travel to Boston for seats only and no GA pit there so that we can hang with all of our friends, well it might be tough to do.

It is always easier to justify abandoning the kid and the dog when I'm in the pit with all of my asshole friends!

Say it ain't so!!

We'll all just have more time to spend together pre show in a nice warm pub. The bubbly will be flowing, and we'll make the best of it.

If,and I know it's a big if, Roll Call gets some sweet seats, hopefully most of them will be in the same area. I've got a good feeling about them coming through for us for this special show. No inside info, just the optimist in me says we'll be taken care of.

We're still going - seats or no seats.  As Magh33ta, Johnny, TBD and family, and many others won't be at PC, then I want to ring in the New Year with them.

Not ruling it out.  Hard to imagine a better way to spend New Year's than with all of you guys at an MMJ show.    Logistics.

I understand you have some familial responsibilities, so I won't hold it against you.  Hopefully things will work out.

Philly the year before was awesome as far as ticket sales..(thanks ynwa!)
I am not sure about trekking to Boston for a seated show but I'll keep an open mind...the 3 times (Boston, RCMH, and Philly) I've seen them in a seated venue, it's still magical but not the same.

Just had a monkey wrench thrown into my plans. The Felice Brothers (my other favorite current band) announced a NYE show in NYC at a tiny theatrer. It's probably cheaper (no hotel needed, no travel) and easier for me to do. I'm thinking I may end up there instead of MMJ in Boston. Definitely still going to do the Port Chester 3-night run but I may be going the easier route for NYE

OK, I feel like this question has been asked a meelion times, and now there doesn't seem to be a roll call section on the forum.  I've asked this a few times and seem to get different responses....

I would like to buy tickets tomorrow, but not 100% sure we can make it.  If our plans fizzle, can I have my roll call tickets left under someone else's name at will call?

joey_rogo

Stuff happened and I can't make it to this show. It'll be my first concert-less NYE in a while. BUT I'll be at PC.

Regarding the presale, I hope it goes well for you all. I have had awful luck the last few RC presales and MSG last December were the worst seats I have ever had for an MMJ show. Far worse than my disappointing Mann center tix.

I also have a hard time imagining that this will remain seated floor. At first, the outdoor queuing point seemed pretty valid but this is a hockey arena and I'm sure they have drunk college kids lined up outside of it every weekend during the winter trying to get the best student section seats.

i'd love to see a Deer Tick/Felice Bros lineup there...tiny little place...i heard about this show and am keeping it a possibility for NYE if i stay in town..
