Well I guess I should consider myself lucky, I logged right on at 10 and only purchased a pair for the Sat night show as Friday is impossible for me.  I got a pair in row B, looks like first row of the second section back.  Should still be a stellar view, I hope.

really good seat

Overhang starts around K or so, but everything in front of that is outstanding.
it's not a particularly wide theater either - the beacon in NYC & Riverside in MKE both seem larger to me (never pulled a tape on them though!) so even if you think you are to one side, you're gonna be fine.

IMO, the only "bad" seats in the Orpheum are the last 5-10 rows of the orchestra, as they are visually & sonically negatively affected by the overhang.  I'd rather sit in the last row of the balc vs the last row of the orch all day long.  that said...I had the 3rd to last row of the orch for the allman brothers in 2011 and didn't think the sound got muddled one bit.  have seen other bands there (phil lesh, widespread panic) where the sound under the overhang is a mess.

I've never sat in the "private" boxes that are on the sides, but have heard they aren't great.

Anything to the far left or right is completely obstructed at the orpheum. In fact if you have tix in the left or right orch (not left center/right center) you will unable to see a good portion of the stage

You make a good point but I don't think it's quite that bad.   If you are on the far edges of the outer section, then yes you will have obstructed view, but if you are on or near the aisle towards the center sections, you should be fine.   I pulled MM in the way left section, but on the aisle, and pulled the trigger.

If you're on the aisle it will be okay, like seats 2,4 or 1,3. A little of the left will be cut off but wont be terrible. I had those same seats for ABB

My seats are orchestra row B, seats 211, 212 it appears they are in center area of the orchestra, can anyone verify this?

Confirmed, dead center. I think row b is the first row of the second level so great seats

You will be nearly dead center, just a little to the right.  The center section goes from 201-214, with 214 being a little bit right of center.  But yeah, pretty much dead center.

I tried for 20 minutes straight varying my requests. Really thought I would get something. Should've splurged for the other package with the XS t shirt offer

Paying the extra $ I did "expect" to score tix. BUT with the venue being so small I won't hold the band hostage for my $15.

I was considering buying the xs deluxe package also yesterday but couldn't justify it. I wish i did now. Digital got me nothing.
The thing that is upsetting me now is how the deluxe roll call is again available in all sizes. Yesterday oy s/xs were available and this morning it said completely sold out.

That is ridiculous

I asked WU if there was any chance of more presell tickets opening up due to expired credits etc, and they said no.

MMJOwlz

Anybody know if this'll be a no-repeat two show run?

rumdiesel

So frustrating to see tickets on stub hub an hour after roll call goes on sale.  Do they not do anything to prohibit/regulate this?   People should seriously have their tickets and memberships revoked.

I agree it is very annoying.  However it may or may not be roll call tix being sold.  Stubhub waits until any presale til people are allowed to sell their seats.  and some venues have basically season tickets, and promoters/sponsors get tix.. so its possible they came from a different outift..

beardedwonder

Thanks to Dillsnufus I scored a solo ticket to the 2nd show. It will be my first. Hoping to go to the first show too with my wifey but who knows if its in the cards.

Was planning on Oct SF run if this didn't work out - may still do it. Hit up Yosemite too.

there was a bunch of stuff on stub hub before yesterday's on sale even started, so I don't necessarily think it was (all) from scalpers signing up for roll call.

mrz200

FYI... there is a crap ton of excellent tickets available via the American Express pre-sale.

like, too many, it feels.

the mezzanine at the orpheum is $$$$$$$

CountSA

Damn when did this go on sale?  This seems like it was completely unannounced.  I grabbed a 2nd row mezz pair, still hoping for some good orchestra seats though.

CountSA

Upon further inspection it looks like these went on sale at 10am.  There was no presale listed on the 'on sale time' in the ticketmaster event page (the beacon shows had presale times listed).  It looks like there was nothing spectacular thru this but I'm glad I got some halfway decent seats.

beardedwonder

wow! that is crazy. i don't have Amex and gift cards don't work (fyi). hopefully a family member will help me score in the AM. thanks for heads up!!

Gilt presale is up:
http://www.giltcity.com/boston/mymorningjacketorpheumtheatreboston

$85 each with a Waterfall download.  I think you can only pick 1 ticket from that main page but once you click on order you can adjust to more seats.  Seats are 2nd - 10th row.

Makes me nervous that seats might be in lower orchestra right or left not right center or left center
