Greetings! Your first sentence shows that you didn't read my posts. I apologise for their lack of brevity so I can totally understand why you may have skimmed them but when you read them I hope you get the point ;)

Dontgetupset- I enjoy the enthusiasm you are putting into this argument.  I'm a math:stats guy and I'm convinced these shows are going to be special simply by the sheer nature of playing 4 nights with no repeats, an MMJ feat that's only been done once before.   Since you seem passionate enough to make your point:  make up a 4 night no repeat list of setlists with no covers that would disappoint you and post it here for comment.

Stop over thinking things. They're a rock band. They play really good rock shows. Relax and enjoy.

I can only assume you're talking to me since it seems you don't know how to quote properly. And it wasn't lack of brevity that led me to "skim" those posts. It's because it seems you don't know how to quote people properly and I don't want to go back and forth to the posts you're responding to because it's kind of a pain in the ass. So sorry, I guess I won't be getting the point. ;)

Buymycar, what I was referring to in my most recent response to you was that: Once can love a show with only songs from these last 2 albums. My point was not that they're unlovable. My point was (and is) that there is a direct correlation between deeper setlists and more jaw-dropping. I think at this point its kind of moot because mahg33ta makes a simple yet EXCELLENT point namely that its almost impossible that some of the deepest cuts won't emerge (to avoid the double negative: the deepest cuts WILL emerge).

To buttress your point: I went to all 3 Chicago shows and had an a amazing time despite there being no real bust-outs. I don't know how you could take those 3 setlists eliminate all of those songs and come up with 22 songs that don't include rarely heard songs.

Just to repeat: I love hearing everyone's opinions here and the more you vehemently disagree with me the better. I find the back and forth exciting. Definitely have no intention of ever offending anyone (and I'm pretty sure I've never written anything that has). Have a great day!

DontGetUpset:

I hope for your sake that you have tickets to the Tuesday and Wednesday shows.  I feel very strongly that those two nights are going to be infinitely more unique than Friday and Saturday, or at least much higher on the rarity factor.  If you DO have tickets for Friday and Saturday, then I would suggest not looking at those first two setlists until after the last show.

Thanks! I am going to at least Tuesday and Wednesday
