Comfortably Numb - That is my favorite concert moment, they just finished building the Wall, turned off all the lights except for a spotlight behind David Gilmour as he stood on the top of the wall and played the song.  OMG, thats almost 25 years ago!

Some others popped into my head recently:

"Pleasures of the harbor"--Phil Ochs

"Money Honey"--Ry Cooder

"Waltzing Matilde"--Trad.

and, now don't bitch about this one's commercial quality,

"Don't Cry"--Gn'R

Is this on video or did you see it LIVE?

I changed my mind about Paranoid Android, I think Fake Plastic Trees would be much better.

I was able to see it LIVE, if I recall correctly they only played The Wall concert in three cities, New York, Tokyo or London, and Los Angeles.  I saw it in Los Angeles, I think it was the LA Sports Arena, still have the concert shirt.

No crap, I was at a field party awhile ago (maybe last fall sometime...too many mushrooms, too much beer), and somebody had GNR's "Appetite for Destruction" album playing (loudly) in the area where everybody parked their cars.  At first, I was like "pff, some loser's playing GNR" (even though I worshipped them, along with Ozzy and Def Leppard in high school...all those years ago). But then, after a few more minutes, and the opening strains of "Rocket Queen" pierced the night, I realized "Holy shit, some dude's playing GNR" and began to rock out with holy vengeance.  *Sigh*  I wish GNR was still cool, and Axl had never grown those weak ass dreadlocks.
it's a voice. and it's a choice
to call you out. or stay at home

Wow, that is awesome. Was it the best show you have ever seen? I'm going to buy a Pink Floyd dvd, do you have any suggestions on which one is the best?

Thanks,

Brian

on the topic of covers...was i dreaming or did mmj in fact cover wear your love like heaven by donovan? i thought i had seen it a while back on tower records on a tribute album, but its not there anymore. i would assume its out of print...does anyone know for sure?

MMJ_fanatic

Yes!  You are correct they did cover that Donovan song on the cd titled "a gift from a garden to a flower: a tribute to donovan"  It great--check out www.darla.com if you want a copy.

i knew it...thanks a bunch man...it was a great song to begin with, redone most beautifully.

Chills

This might sound very silly, but is saw 'trick me' by Kelis on MTV yesterday and i thought mm... what about that for a cover song! would be cool in an upbeat Cobra-style

I see "Stage Fright" by the Band was already named, so I will say "The Night they Drove Old Dixie Down" or "Rag, Mama, Rag" by the Band, or "Devil in Disguise" by the Flying Burrito Brothers.  Perhaps an Elliot Smith song or two also.

Coltrane

"Dear Mr. Fantasy" by Traffic, "Headache" by Frank Black (had a discussion with Tommy 'bout that one), or, and this may be odd, "How Soon is Now?" by the Smiths....I think the Jacket could bring a new epic dimension to it.
....as mayor of Drugachusettes, I declare this pizza to be...AWESOME!!!

MMJ_fanatic

Dear Mr Fantasy--another excellent choice for Sir Jim's vocal range :D
