Just three so far. But many more to come hopefuly.

Knoxville Tn
Atalnta GA
Nashville TN

I've heard a rumor that we will get a grand finale for the vote for change tour in Miami, if Pearl Jam and MMJ are both going to be there I may try and make it.  The problem is, once you get married you can't make these decisions on your own.

Welcome to the club, my friend-we need members like you!

Here's the trick into getting your spouse to go along with these things:  get her to see the light and feel the love of the gospel!  once she's hooked as well, she will want to go as much as you do!

this works for approximately 10 or so shows, depending upon how many/how far shows are in distance driven, etc.  Don't take a 9 hour drive and then turn around a week later and expect a 5 hour cruise, it ain't happenin!  (speaking from experience)

I've seen Jim, in the line up or solo, 5 times this year between Feb and June but since New England is so compact I didn't do any marathon drives (yet  ;))

I have tried to count them all up in my head before, but it's all a blurry mess in there.  Conservatively, I would say at least 2 dozen.

I do remember the first time I ALMOST saw them.  I was at a helgeson story show, and MMJ played afterward.  They came on the stage wearing cowboy hats, which I thought was goofy.  Plus, I was getting drunk and needed to get home before I drank any more, so I left before they started, even though my friend Chris (Guetig -- this was before he started drumming for them) was going on and on about how they were the greatest.

A couple of days later I heard Heartbreakin Man on the radio and regretted not staying.  I went right out and bought the Tennessee Fire

man,
I am so jealous of you Louisville cats--you've had so much more time to follow the guys and get to know them all!  well at least they are getting a lot more attention now and I will get to see 'am a lot more  ;)

Thanks John, I took her to the Nashville show and she loved it but I don't think I got 10 shows out of it.  I'm trying to play my cards smoothly, so I'm not even going to try for this vote for change tour, then when It comes time to tour for the new album, I'm going BIG, I'll start off with like a six show trek and work from there.  I figure this way at the very least she'll agree to two.

I was supposed to see them twice in cinci at bogarts, but unfortunately one of the shows got cancelled.  My best friend just left for japan to teach for a year about 2 weeks ago and I took him to the concert as a going away gift.

I get to see them in Dayton at the vote for change tour!!! Greatly anticipating that.

good luck mr sweatboard!  it's an easy sell as everyone gets something from going to shows...we boys get to rock out and play air guitar and get drunk & loud, while the girls (so they tell me) get to swoon over the boys in the band!

MMJ=the perfect prescription!

One way to see lots of MMJ gigs is to take your GF to New York for a romantic week, whilst MMJ are scheduled to play of course, then propose to her at the gig during her favorite song " be there when you die". This then gives her a sentimental reason to travel to far away places to see MMJ numerous times, because it brings back lovely memories of when you proposed. We always go and visit my now fiancee sister who lives in the U.S, and yes you've guessed..MMJ always seem to be playing its an amazing coincidence :). I should be saying this really as im lucky because she's into them to, we have a lot of fun, beats the beach?...but hey ..ive promised her a beach holiday next time...we both work too hard.
Anyway my shows are:
Camden Barfly London, November 2002
Upstairs at the Garage-London- Jim James Solo-Feb 2003
The Garage-London Feb 2003
Reading Festival-England August 2003
Bowery Ballroom X 2 New York Sept 2003
Melkweg-Amsterdam Nov 2003
Mean Fiddler London Nov 2003

smog, you and riny should compare notes on shows...it might be a tie in the "international" department... :)

I saw them for the first time in May @ Bogarts in Cincinnati.  I took my wife along and it was probably the best concert I've ever witnessed.
I think I'll be able to go to as many shows as I'd like in the future...her comment was "I could listen to them all night long"....this coming from someone who's seen at least 100+ shows with me and is always itching to beat the crowd out of the hall...
MMJ is also my son's (2 1/2 yr. old) favorite...always asks "Daddy, you gonna put your morning jacket on?"

Well, pathetic little me has only seen them twice. :(  However, I saw them twice in ONE WEEK! ;D How many of you can say that?  I saw them at bonnaroo and 6 (i think) days later in Atlanta.  Two badass shows, I might add.  It seems like everyone here was at the Atlanta show, but there were only like 2,000 people there ???  It's a shame all the shows for the rest of the year are out west, except for the (Vote for Socialism Tour) :P  I would only go to that if Jimi, Elvis, and John Bonham were there.

MMJ_fanatic

I saw Jim solo twice in a week if that counts ;)
