We're the most rabid fan base I can think of. We've been denied one of our greatest pleasures for almost a full calender year. One show is announced, many more are rumored. Am I the only one that can barely sit still? Has everyone else listened to ANYTHING other than MMJ for the last 3 days? GET FUCKING PUMPED PEOPLE!!! THEY'RE BACK!!!!

no offense, but shut the fuck up with that bullshit.  My Morning Jacket fucks Iron Maiden and their fans both sonically and sexually.  I'm afraid there is simply no comparison to the true passion this fanbase holds.  

that being said.  this place would be more active if more people knew about it.  all the cool stuff on here is hidden in secret little places, overlooked by a lot of people.  some don't even know about the setlist archive,show archive, and video archive.  but n00bs would easily find things out quicker if they posted more.  people are afraid they'll sound stupid for not knowing enough about MMJ I believe.  luckily for them this fanbase is nice to new people and embrace them so they shouldn't be scared.  I'm kinda stoned but that's what some n00b said on another board.  something to the effect of "I don't want to sound like an idiot talking about a band I don't know anything about", to be not knowing stuff is the fun part.  surprises are awesome.  

Jazzfest should be called Jizzfest this year, because that's what it's going to be once My Morning Jacket takes the stage.

We are looking for a group of shows like that as well. Hoping to see the Missouri, Kentucky, Tennessee area. We are coming from Calgary Alberta and are driving because I hate flying but i love driving down through the states. Any city recommendations that stand out down there?

Please remember: all but one of the Jersey Shore cast are from NY, and the one from NJ quit the show and went home. Guidos are most typically from Staten Island, the dingleberry of the tri-state area.

Also, NJ is consistently ranked as one of the top 10 greenest states.
