QuoteLet The Right One In - One of the best movies of 2008 definitely.
Smiley Face - Underrated stoner comedy with Anna Faris. More accurate than most stoner movies but still over the top at times (but what stoner comedy isn't).

I'm a stoner and I think that is far from accurate.. It's hilarious but a blow to the stoner community if you ask me..

I just watched Burn Before Reading.. What a weird movie.. But seeing those three guys act the way they do..  It's worth checking out.

Have you ever ate that many pot cupcakes? You do know that it's more of a trip than just being normally high don't you? I think based on that some of it is believable. What are you basing "far from accurate" on? Is it accurate that people fly in Half Baked? Compared to other stoner movies its more accurate. I thought certain parts were dead on accurate-making a link between lasagna and President Garfield, trying to start your car when its already started. How is it a blow to the stoner community? I doubt that many non-stoners will even watch this. You're an idiot if you think thats how every stoner acts anyway.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

FACE

and the self proclaimed stoners argue.

The Wrestler. The best movie of last year easily.

the sun and moon

Being There. God! This film was so wonderful. It's easily one of those films that feels like such an honor to watch.

I'm due for another viewing of that myself. Have you seen the movie poster thread?

An Aussie croc flick - it was good.

L.A. Crash
Great movie, it's really disturbing to see these people, see how they behave and still, if you get more information on their characters, their behaviour becomes more and more understandable (Matt Dillon's character in particular).
Feelings hour, every tuesday morning.

Did you call it "LA" Crash so no one would think it was that movie where they have hot car crash sex?  ;D

I reeeally want to see Eraserhead, and at the same time I don't. I don't know if I want to feel the way I've heard people say it makes you feel. Should I?  :-? ......I'm kind of scared.

It's something else, that's for sure.  I really wish I could experience it for the first time again.  I think that's a "yes," but I'm not totally sure.

my only advice would be just to watch it, don't try to interpret anything. Just watch the movie and absorb it.

Encounters At The End Of The World - I'm officially sold on Herzog, great film. I'd like to get the Herzong/Kinksi box set. Barnes & Noble had it for a great price, I hope they still have it by next paycheck.
The Purple Rose Of Cairo - The third Woody Allen movie I've seen, Annie Hall is my favorite so far.

Not a movie but I've been watching The Work of Director Michel Gondry DVD, a must have for fans of his. I have The Short Films Of David Lynch up next.
