QuoteOh man, Farve is going to have a career game tonight.

quintessential performance my Favre last night. 1 TD 3 INTs in a loss.  I hope he plays long enough to set the record for career INTs.  I love to watch him flounder.

Fuck that Favre is the man. And thats coming from a steeler fan.
While I'm on the subject....the steelers are done, stick a fork in em. Hines Ward had knee surgery today, hope it went alright.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

Saying that tomorrow's game for my Vikings is huge would be a gigantic understatement.

rugbird

Nice huge loss, Red.

We'll see how real the Saints are this Sunday night against a very hot Cowboys team. Look for the Saints to pressure the hell out of Romo and expose his inexperience.

The Deuce will be loose!

the bengals are starting to turn it around. that's what happens when Carson and the defense are healthy.  oh and the refs stop calling roughing the passer every time a bengal touches the other teams quarterback.

btw, Favre had another career game with 51% completions, 2 INTSs, and QB rating of 54.  He's well on his way to 27 INTs like he had last year.  I hope he never retires!

The Saints/Cowboys game should be fun to watch. I'm looking forward to that one.

It also looks like Grossman is really fuckin' shit up (in a bad way) for the Bears. He had a HORRIBLE game this weekend. He's damn lucky the special teams and defense were able to put points on the board.

aMD

yeah, those are probably the best two teams in the NFC this year. that'll be a good game.  Lovie may have won coach of the year last year but I think he is subpar.  He was outcoached in the playoffs, he can't find a QB to save his life.  And yesterday at the press conference he kept saying were 10-2 with Rex as our quarterback so he's our guy but last year they played Orton in a similiar situation. I don't think Grossman or Lovie have what it takes to win deep in the playoffs.

As far as the nfc goes the seahawks are getting healthy at a good time and might make a good run.
That's motherfuckin' John Oates!

I don't understand how you can judge favre on what he's done the last couple years when he's obviously been on a pretty bad team. He's had a great career and honestly I can't think of anyone who's bashed him as muchas you do.

I heard Jim Rome say today that the Bears were 10-2, in spite of Grossman being QB.

Because I think he's overrated and always has been. yeah, he's on a bad team now but his superbowl team was pretty superb with Reggie White and the like.  He's always been a overrated, "gun-slinger" who threw too many interceptions and these past two years he's really shown his true colors.

Another reason I like to talk so much shit about him is beacuse no one else does, as you say!  He throws 4 INTs and the announcers blame it on his defense or the wind.  He was the worst rated starting QB last year and the media still acts like he's the best thing since sliced bread.  Then he won't tell his team if they're coming back or retiring, meanwhile Aaron Rodgers is getting paid to watch Favre throw 27 INTs a year and Favre refuses to even talk to him because "that's not his job".   if T.O. did that the media would have a field day.  his selfishness is going to hurt the GreenBay organization for years and everyone treats him like a stand up guy.  sorry for the rant, but you inquired.

primushead

Fire Delhomme.

Please.  Or just bench him for a few games to get his head back where it needs to be.

Panthers should NOT have lost to Philly.  Boo.

Specialist

Jake looked pissed on that last drive....

how about the Titans beating both Manning brothers in two weeks!

I have a feeling if the Titans were in the NFC the they would be 9-3
Hold my life until I'm ready to use it

Wow got to disagree with you on some parts of your Favre assessment.  Granted he can be extremely reckless, but the guy will go down as one of the top five qbs ever.  You can rip on him all you want for the last few years worth of play but he is an old man with shit for talent around him.

And as far as being selfish, Aaron Rodgers has shown nothing in games or practices from what I read and they may draft another qb in the next year or two.  Plus who is the  player everyone wants to see when they go to a GB game, its not Bubba Franks.

I might sound like a huge Favre fan but I am not, I am a Lions fan and that SOB has ruined many sundays for us here in Michigan the past 13 or so years.

Top 5 of all time? With 1 Super Bowl ring? I don't think so.
Marino was better and he had no ring.

Wouldn't argue with you there on Marino.  He is my top qb, best pure passer ever.  However who else can you put above him?  Unitas, then maybe Montana (but that whole team he was on were all pro bowlers and hall of famers) and then I would go Elway.  But he only won the super bowls with Terell Davis ripping it up.  He didn't win it with the likes of Winder, Lang, and Humphrey running the ball.

So yeah I would say definitely top five qb.

Plus super bowl rings don't factor a players greatness.  Peyton Manning will go down as one of the best whether or not he wins a championship.

top five? that's crazy!  He's not in the top 5 current QBs.  now do you all know what I mean by OVERRATED!?!?!

btw, your misery on sundays may have more to do with the facts that you're a lions fan and less to do with Favre, just like Favre's only ring has more to do with Reggie White and Mide Holmgren than Favre.

aMD

Here are SOME of the QBs I would put ahead of Favre:
Joe Montana
Dan Marino
Steve Young
Terry Bradshaw
Bob Griese
Joe Namath
Johnny Unitas (also should have retired earlier as well)
John Elway
Peyton Manning
Tom Brady
Bart Starr
