Well, Im just saying that ESPN's main page last week said Cotto is at a crossroads, and a lot of people seemed to have brushed him off their P4P lists and such, but when it comes down to it, the only guys he has lost to are Pac and a brickfisted Margo. So at this point, I think Cotto is underrated and overlooked. Lots of potential very good matchups for him at 154 too. Id love to see him fight Angulo.

Any idea what the moneyline on the fight was? I have a feeling it was like -450 Cotto, but as I was breaking this fight down I couldnt figure out how Cotto could lose this fight, so I wanted to put $$$ on it but forgot

And no, I dont think Foreman is anything all that special

Forget best pound 4 pound, Pac is approaching Top 10 GOAT status.

Already has IMO aqnd easily at that.  If he were to fight and beat Mayweather, top 5 for sure.  8 weight classes?!  :o. Hasn't ducked anyone

And he's gotten better with age. Started professionally fighting when he was 16, and his only loss since he was 21 was the first fight in the Morales trilogy where Morales won a 115-113 UD (and from what I recall, I think Morales deserved it) where he went on to KO Morales in the following 2 fights, notably the 3rd round in the final fight and you could probably say Pac ended his career. Has that memorable trilogy, plus memorable multi fights with Barrera and JMM.

Seriously unbelievable he started out fighting at 106 lbs and just won a world title in the 154lb weight class. If he is actually clean, he is a freak.

my boy Paul Williams is back on HBO tonight with the rematch against Sergio Martinez..Based on how the 2nd half of the fight last year went, I gotta favor Martinez here despite Big Pun Williams being arguably my favorite boxer going these days. Martinez knows what to expect this time, and appeared to figure out Williams as the fight went on while landing a ton of power shots...I think Martinez by decision but Ill be rooting for Williams. Their fight last year was my 2009 FOTY, I hope this one lives up to what that one was.

Lots of good fights tonight...Caballero-Litzau, Berto-Hernandez, Ward-Bika, JMM-Katsidis, Abraham-Froch.

Well those first 2 should be blowouts although Cabellero has never impressed me and appeared to win based on height/reach. SOG I like by decision over Bika who is always tough but Ward should roll, and the last 2 fights should be the best of the bunch thanks to Katsidis' power and Froch's ability to outpoint anybody thanks to his awkward style. JMM still has too much talent for Katsidis. I think Abraham might have been telecasted by Dirrell as far as how he can be beat. Froch doesnt have that kind of speed, but he'll bring a style to the table that Abe hasnt gone against.

First PPV Ive paid for since BHop-Calslappy I think. I respect Mayweather's talent, but he's been ducking Pac for almost 2 years now, if not more. Ortiz had what looks like an intentional headbutt, but PBF's 2 cheapshots were ridiculous. Borderline worse than Abraham clocking Dirrell when he was down. Unreal.

I thought Ortiz was a pussy after giving into Maidana, but Ive now become a fan. I think he wouldve walked thru PBF's punches for 12 rounds and Floyd didnt want to take that punishment for 12 rounds.

Loss of words.  I agree with you Scotty that Ortiz had it in him, particularly the damage he was starting to do in the 4th.  I would have had it 2-2 after four.  Unfortunately, Ortiz went with the bush league move.  I was yelling all fight that it looked like he was going for the unintentional intentional butt.  It's just sad he went for it when he was actually changing the tide of the bout.  While what Mayweather did was crap, it wasn't beneath him and was within the rules.  I have more an issue with Joe Cortez for either giving a warning or deducting from Ortiz while not separating and calling time properly.

All in all a sad ending thinking what could have been.  It was the most I've seen Mayweather hit and bullied early in a fight ever.

Yeah, this not only had the makings of a great fight, but it actually looked like it after 3.5 rounds. I had it 2-1 PBF (3rd was def his best) and most likely wouldve had it even as well after 4. Supposedly PBF handpicked Ortiz, however this fight looked like either PBF technically outshines him on his way to a decision or gets KO'd late. I really cant picture other options.

I didnt notice Ortiz going for the headbutt before it actually happened in earlier rounds, but I think my boy B-Hop would even admit to that being a blatant headbutt. If you didnt see, Cortez is actually looking/talking to someone outside the ring right after the "its cool hug/fist touch" He separated them, but turned his head, PBF gives Vic a left hook, Ortiz looks at Cortez who is still looking outside the ring, and then clocks him with the last shot.

PBF has ducked tons of guys for over 5 years now. When Lampley referenced Chico Corrales 2001, he was right. Ever since, PBF has fought has been names or guys he clearly outclassed. Even going into this fight, I though Ortiz had a real chance considering PBF has never fought a legit young welter with power, and then after hearing Ortiz went up to 164 overnight, I thought Ortiz' chances rose since PBF had better hand speed to begin with. Looked like Ortiz thought he could win during the fight as well. Im bummed, but a rematch or Pac next should be the only 2 options for PBF. Hard to say the fight was fixed, but Vic didnt seemed too pissed after losing, especially after how everything went down. Kind of made me think.
