Considering I expect Roethlisberger to be suspended 2 games, and some say 4, they werent too easy on us making our first 4 weeks ATL, TB, TEN, and BALT

If Sanchez puts it together and plays consistent, not even great just consistent, which I have every expectation that he will....the Jets are going to be a PROBLEM.  Haven't been this excited for the NFL this early in the offseason in more than a few years.

And the draft hasnt even started yet  :D

Im still on the fence on the thursday deal, and the Pens are playing at the same time, but Im so pumped for the draft Im glad its a couple days earlier

Jets have 5 games in prime time, & only 3 games at 1:00 games all season! Looks like i'm gonna have some cold nights ahead of me in the new stadium.
I'm excited and optimistic about the season, but I'm trying to keep a level head. The last time I thought they had this good shot at the big game was in 1999, and all Jets fans know how that ended up!! Still I love the aggressive attitude and action of the GM & Rex, and I think they FINALLY found a franchise QB, but we shall see....

Yinz are looking stacked right about now

Key to your season might hinge on Shonn and him staying healthy. I wouldnt want to count on LT at this point as your #1. Outside of that, and Sanchez managing games, I dont know where youre lacking

I think Sanchez answered a lot of ? during the playoff run, but I totally agree about Greene & the running game. If LW comes back 100% and they only have to use LT in situations they will be fine. Then again it is the NFL so you never know. Like I said I'm just happy with the way the organization is handling itself, but the only way to keep it going is to WIN!

Roeth got 6 games, which can go down to 4 with good behavior.

Seems like wayyy too much to me, and Ive been following all the details as they continue to come out.

A lot of talk of the Raiders picking him up.
Oh I'll never say I knew you, but my heart can't wait to meet you on the other side

capt. scotty

Yeah, I think its more them posturing and seeing what they could get if teams keep upping their price.

Id be very surprised if they ended up trading him, and it would be a big overreaction if they did. Considering he's going to lose up to $3.3 million because of the games he's suspended for, I think he'll get his act together pretty quick.

CANT WAIT FOR THE DRAFT TONIGHT!!!!  [smiley=2vrolijk_08.gif]

This may be the first year i'm not anxious about what the Jets will do in the draft. Expect them to add some depth at db, with Rex's defense the more db's the better!

I hate that we have to play the jets twice a year.  That defense scares me!  At least we got a big time receiver now!

Draft went as predicted by many for the Stillers getting Pouncey. Im surprised they didnt take Bulaga since he fell so far though. Not sure if thats because of how much they liked Pouncey, or because they didnt have Bulaga come into town for a workout and look into him too much.

I like the pick, although watching yesterday I wanted Earl Thomas, Kareem Jackson, or Kyle Wilson more than OL help. Damn you Jets for getting Wilson!!  >:(

Biggest "phew" moment of the draft was pick 24 with New England OTC, Ravens on deck, and Dez Bryant still on the board. Thank god Dallas traded up for Dez and he didnt go to the Ratbirds who almost certainly wouldve taken him.

Just when it seemed like Roethlisberger would never get off the front page of NFL news, Lawrence Taylor goes and rapes a 16 year old. Thanks LT!  ;)

Never saw this before, but it cracked me up. I actually have more respect for Rome now because he was a shiteating grin doosh from the start apparently, and not after he got huge. That takes balls.

He was pretty big at the time, he did have a TV show and his radio show was big too, big enough for him to land a TV show. But that is one of the reasons I love Jim Rome, because it did take balls. He looked him right in the eyes and said it to his face. He clearly isn't in it to fluff pro athletes. And his 'takes' (to me) have no interest in anything else but the topic. It's hard to find a talking head in sports that doesn't have outside interests. I like PTI, but it really gets on my nerves when they mention Dancing With The Stars every episode. Like guys should like the show now, because it was just given sports cred? I watch Around the Horn, but to me it's fucking horrible. PTI and ATH getting a little too clowny, but more so ATH. I can't remember why, but Jim did just bring it up about a month ago. Someone or some team was calling a player by a female name, and he said something like he's been down that road and it didn't end up good. That's the only time I've heard him mention it. I think some soccer player threatened to kick in the head or something because Jim talks shit about soccer. Just another reason why I like Jim, and he likes hockey, which I think we both know is hard to find on TV.

I'm cautiously optimistic to see what McNabb is gonna bring to my Skins.   I think we instantly got better at QB for this season.  Not sure how I feel about 2-3 years from now.  I guess there's some time to worry about that later though.

It's also going to be interesting to see what lies in store for the backfield.  Portis, Parker & L. Johnson are all in the later years of their careers.  I think an improved o-line will help them out, but how will they handle sharing the rock?  I still don't think we go into the season with all of them on the roster.

Haynesworth continues to be a little bitch about possibly having to move to nosetackle.  He's not the all star caliber player we brought in last year.  He takes too many plays off to make up for the good plays he makes.  I look for London-Fletcher to anchor the D this year.  At least he's got heart and ability.   I think Chris Horton continues to step it up in the defensive backfield.

Longshot prediction 10-6 regular season with a playoff appearance.

My music will go on forever. Maybe it's a fool say that, but when me know facts me can say facts.

I think getting McNabb was a great move for you. Still think Philly was dumb to trade him since they have a super bowl caliber team right now (I think Kolb will be solid, but I dont see him getting them a SB win in the next few years). I think the biggest questions will be what McNabb can get out of your WR corps which IMO is one of the worst in the NFL. Always thought Santana Moss was one of the msot overrated WRs in the game, and he's not getting younger. Your best bet might be alot of 2TE sets with Cooley and Fred Davis

I think all 3 RBs will probably be there still, but if Portuis is healthy he's getting the lionshare. I still cant believe Fast Willie went there because they told him he would have the opportunity to start  ;D..that backfield is more crowded than ours. If one is gone, itll probably be Johnson, but judging Portis' durability from last year, I say they keep all 3.

Ballsy? I bet you a large sum of money Rome doesn't do that without cameras around and LOTS of witnesses. He baited Everett and Everett took the bait. If he had done it in an alley behind a bar, then it would have been ballsy; and, Rome would have gotten his ass kicked. What he did was the equivilant of calling the neighborhood bully a pussy then hiding behind your dad.
