QuoteSon of a bitch.....Warner Brothers has delayed the release of Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince until July of 2009. Movie is done and was set for release in November of this year. They so they could take advantage of the summer blockbuster season. What a bunch of shit.

Agreed. The Potter books and films are often set in and around winter, especially Christmas, so this won't put me in the mood. Also, delaying it until next summer isn't striking when the iron is "warm" either. The final book is already old news.

I'm also pissed as it's my favorite in the series and was so looking forward to this one.

just watched that Jodie Foster movie 'The Brave One'..nothing special, but it was good and worth watching, and I hate Jodie F. In the 90's, she had to be the most overrated actress that I can think of basically getting fame and roles from you know what - Silence of the Lambs.

Its funny because her character in this movie is almost a polar opposite of Starling too, probably why she got the role. Everyone knows these days that for a movie like this to somewhat work, you need a dike with a gun and a reason - i.e. Jodie Foster

Terrence Howard, as always, was great in this movie as well. Probably took it from meh to good. Seriously, the dude is like a poor man's Jamie Foxx. Now Foxx went from a joke to a seriously good actor, but this guy came outta nowhere and just stacks up great performance after great performance.

'You know its hard out here fo' a pimppp'

Edit to add: maybe its an inside joke, but is there a reason why when i type in the word d y k e - it is changed to radish here? i mean, i guess a radish probably is the most muffdiving veggie, but come on now!

This weekend:

One from the Heart, Knocked Up and Race with the Devil.

Race with the Devil from the mid 70s with Peter Fonda particularly fine.

First time? It gets better and better with multiple viewings. I'm thinking about getting the bowling ball 2 disc (coming soon) set just for collector's sake as I already have it on DVD.

The Orphanage- pretty creepy but some may be turned off by subtitles unless you speak Spanish.

I liked it. The only thing about subtitles is you can't pay 100 percent attention to the visual details of the film. Other than that, anyone who can't appreciate a movie just because of subtitles is narrow-minded.

in bruges-this movie had me laughing pretty damn hard

Hellboy II.  There's a reason it wasn't in most theaters very long and is now showing for $3 at the local Cinema 4.

I think SotD might be better overall but its close

When I watched Hot Fuzz, for the first 45 minutes I was like 'what the hell happened to these guys?! Shaun of the Dead was hilarious', but then as it went on, def got funnier.

I might have to watch both again to judge, but SotD is great the whole time

hmmmm. Being a former fan of wrestling, this sounds interesting. Sometimes the small circuits are best (and usually bloodiest and most tragic).

aaronofsky's the man the fountain was the shit

Im also looking forward to The Wrestler. I like everyone involved in it (Rourke, Tomei, Evan Rachel Wood, and especially Aronofsky).

I saw "Traitor" over the weekend, thought it was pretty good. Characters are better than the story. They gave too much away in the previews, IMO, so any kind of jolt or surprise was completely negated. Don Cheadle was excellent (is he ever not?) as was Guy Pierce, who played an unexpectedly interesting FBI agent. Maybe this will finally be the movie that gets Pierce the respect he deserves in America.
Say friend, you got any more of that good sasparilla?
