Just picked on Summerteeth on Amazon for $6! I really have been enjoying these guys.  A Ghost is Born might be my favorite.  I'm looking forward to their next LP this year and the tour to go with it!

summerteeth might be my favorite wilco record. Summerteeth/AGIB/YHF are all so damn good.
don't rock bottom, just listen just slow down...

What about Being There e? You don't lump that in with the other 3 you mentioned?

Summerteeth is great so far, but I need to listen to it some more before I figure out how it fits among the other greats.  Via Chicago is ridiculous!  A Ghost Is Born is probably my favorite album so far, although I love all of the ones I own (AGIB, ST, HYF, SBS, WL, BT, and Kicking Television).

I really love Whole Love for some reason.  I think Art of Almost is one of their best.  One Sunday Morning is beautifully haunting and I have grown fond of it.  I also can't get enough of Dawned on Me, Whole Love, I Might etc.

At Least That's What You Said is super amazing.  I love the build to the jammy guitar bit.  It is definitely up there for me.

Yeah, you're right. Being There would definitely be included. IMO, they dont have a "bad" record.

I'm missing A.M. and Wilco I believe.  Any recommendations where to go after Summerteeth?  I'm addicted...

As do I. But if I was forced to pick 1 of their records that I could never listen to again it would be either A.M. or Wilco (The Album). I think I would choose W(TA).

Tweedy seems to get a little bit of a bad wrap here because of things he may or may not have said re: MMJ.  but he is a solid dude.  how stoked will everyone be if Jim James ends up doing this kind of thing in the future

Jeff Tweedy of Wilco (Documentary)

mine would definitely be W(TA), because it has the most throw away songs.

2 tickets purchased! Don't have a place to stay yet but whatever. If we need to drive 20 minutes to get there it won't be the end of the world.

For those that already purchased, did you choose the Printpass delivery option? It's probably too early but I was wondering if anyone got an email yet.

I'm going to be in Sacramento for a few days next week for work, and am going to head with a buddy to Oakland on Wed night (Jan 23) to see Nels Cline Singers.

Any chance any other Forum peeps will be there?
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

I didn't even know about it. Where is it? I saw them at high Sierra a couple years ago and they were amazing.
anything + reverb always = better

MrWhippy

Hey Zan.

The shows are at a place called Duende in Oakland.  He's doing a 3 or 4 night residency, starting on Wed.  See here:

The Wed. show is the only one I can make, and my friend and I are definitely going. Let me know if you might make it as well, you'd be more than welcome to join us.  It would be fun to see you again.

I fucking love that song. Also, I bought tickets to the second night of his 2 nights at the Vic, but I may not be able to go now, so if anyone wants the pair, face value....

I really hope they announce the lineup for Solid Sound soon. Already having tix and being happy enough with 2 Wilco headlining shows, anything they announce is pure gravy.

Some comedy gravy, then?

John Hodgeman (The Daily Show, Bored to Death) will be joined by fellow The Daily Show correspondent Al Madrigal, Reggie Watts (Comedy Bang Bang), and Jen Kirkman (Chelsea Lately, Perfect Couples, Phineas and Ferb) on Saturday, June 22nd.
