There was one right in front of us. I was yelling that hoping that one of you would hear it. Plus, I had been around scosby so long, I was pretty scosbied myself ;)

That'll do it.

Have you become as proficient as him at naming the tune ? Seth is scary good.      It's one thing to get it on a note or two, but an entirely different thing to get it by just what guitar the guys have switched to!

You heard it!!! Awesome!!!

Yes, it was, and I immediately thought about Seth's post about the PC boot.
I also heard Whippy having a convo with somebody just before the band took the stage.  No question, those mics had to be pretty close to you guys.

Ug, let's not have any more details about that, please.  There was a mic right in front of us but I'm still surprised you could pick out my voice, as I have a very quiet voice.

Actually, you might have heard me on the phone with Flake.  During that horrid pre-show trivia segment he called me worried he wasn't in the right place, saying "I'm trying to find the show and all I see some video of stupid drunk people."  I explained to him that he was in the right place and the show would start soon.
My heart can't wait to meet you on the other side.

No problem Jon. It was only a brief moment there that I could hear you, and couldn't really tell what the convo was about, only that I definitely recognized your voice. Having hung out with  you enough times to know how calm, and quiet your voice is, and even though I figured you to be on the rail, I was surprised to hear you.  My thought at the time was Damn, that mic has to be super close in order to pick up you up.  Once the music started though, I never heard you again.

Touch Me Part 2.  I just gave it another listen.  Insane version.  I remember Jim dancing all around the stage all alone to the music after the rest of the band left.

I love having these recordings so, so much.

That is all.

Really tough to pick a favorite moment as there are so many mentioned on here (IWSYS, 26 min Dondante, Heartbreakin Man intro, Carried away) but I am continually blown away by the Phone every time I listen to it.  It's one of those that I knew it was good when I saw it but the more I listen on the boots, it blows my mind.  Makes their version at Red Rocks in august seem like it wasn't that great and it was amazing too!

Agreed100%. In addition to PWW, PC3 versions of tonight, IWSYS, and a few others seem to represent the full evolution of each song played live.  Can't get enough and listen to bits of these 3 shows every day

I've avoided listening to these shows knowing that  I would be pissed at myself for not making the effort to attend. I took my wife and kids to the NYE show, but couldn't afford to make it to the Port Chester run. When I renewed my roll call membership I downloaded night 3 (I own all of the other shows except the PC run). After listening to the show I immediately bought the first 2 nights. Sigh... so much for self control.

These shows were totally amazing. After listening to them multiple times I now feel let down by the NYE show. It was good.... but it wasn't epic like all three of these nights.

It cannot pick a favorite moment. The shows are just perfect. The opening jam to Mahgeetah hasn't been mentioned in this thread yet, thought it was pretty cool. The jams at the beginning of night 1 were also great. War Begun is always amazing live, and the one on night 3 was even better.

I won't miss the next 3-night run. Wait a minute... I can't make it to OBH in Mexico so I guess I am missing another one. ARGHHHHHHH!!!

At least I get to see them this Saturday in Atlanta. I don't expect anything of the PC caliber shows, but hopefully a few rarities.

I guess I can't complain... I was up close for the Soul Superjam at Bonnaroo. That's qualifies for epic!

Bhyman, if it makes you feel any better, the NYE version of Phone was even better than it was in Port Chester. Which side were you in at the superjam? I was on the rail in front of Jim and Carl.

I was about midway between the rail and the sound board, toward Jim and Carl's side. We could have gotten closer (we got to the tent before PHJB's set) but I was with someone that gets claustrophobic. We had a little bit breathing room in our spot.

Yeah, NYE wasn't a bad show by any stretch. We still had a blast. There were some really good moments. You Never Can Tell was a great surprise cover and I had never heard them play Rock the Casbah live. I'll have to give PWW from NYE another listen.

The Port Chester run was pretty special though...

I put All Night Long from PC3 on my beach playlist and every single time I hear it, I think of the older gentleman with a head full of white hair who was in the front row of the Loge that was ROCKING away during this song and then seeing him outside the theater afterwards where he had a "these guys blew my mind" look.
Don't you ever turn it off

If you haven't heard, Check out Touch Me Part 2, in a while, you should check it out again.  It is the greatest!!  That plus a long PWW and a super Dondante with horns all during the same show.  Unvelievable.  I hope another three night run happens somewhere soon.
