I would so be down with that weekend

So, would a person from the left coast fly into Nashville and drive the 90+ miles? Or is there a closer place?
My jacket's gonna be cut slim and checked

I mean, I'd really like to drive the whole way there in a winnebago, but I don't think I could get the time (plus, that way the dog could come along).  Just trying to see if this is feasible for a girl with a regular job and not a lot of cash money.

Nan and I should be able to make that date. We would be down for 2-3 nights as it is hardly worth it to me to pitch camp (not a joy for me) for just 1 night.

Nashville or Louisville... I think you can get to Mammoth Cave area in around an hour and fifteen minutes from Louisville.

Is it east of Louisville?  North, West South?

vespac--perhaps there is some carpool-age from the airport to be done!

also, aside from the humidity, which is sure to kick my bootay, the last weekend of june sounds good!

let's say friday-saturday nights.  those who are into it can book an extra night.

dude, i wonder if the nashville minor league baseball team will be playing that week... :D

So, should there be a dress-theme or just our best Holiday attire?  I guess it would exclude the naked ones dancing and sacrificing around the fire, of course...Lord knows it'll be a hot one.

god knows they're squinters!

sorry, arrested development got me...

******update*****

talked with cave folk again today. we need to book our sites at least one month in advance, and when doing so, need to avoid weekends near/on holidays. as such, i don't think the last weekend in june is going to work, because a lot of people come in that weekend and then camp until the 4th of july.

i asked them to check these dates: june 1-3, june 22-24.

here's some price info: camp site are 14 dollars a night and are made for 4 people. camp sites with electricity are 20 dollars a site. we only have to get electricity at certain sites... you know, just where we need it.

again, they seem pretty receptive about it all. i have to talk to the manager some more about working out all the details, but...

yeah. looks like this could totally happen.

can we have drunken karaeoke (i know i didn't spell that right)/ dance party friday? please?

I don't think I could do either one of those unfortunately.  I'll be doing summer school throughout June...doh! :'(

Have you mentioned that we're planning on getting loud? We could do a friday night dance party for sure, but saturday is reserved for bands.  Maybe an acoustic sunday.  There's lots of planning that needs to happen.  As far as reserving plots a month in advance could you just mention to them that some people might want to come down at the last minute, can they get last minute spots if available/not reserved? Is there a place we can set up a stage?
