QuotePerfect ending to a perfect week:
Pulling up to Terminal 5 at JFK, and walking in only to hear Careless Whisper playing overhead  :D

what a beautiful week.  way too many memories to try to even attempt listing.  so many digital & mental snapshots of moments over the run that i will have with me forever.

it was the kind of week where i didn't really know what to expect.  i knew it was going to be amazing, no matter what, but there was so much more to it than i had thought possible.

i love this band.  i love the whole gamut of emotions they took me thru.  i love that i spent the first week of my 35th year on this earth with some of the most kind, fun, friendly badasses i have had the pleasure of meeting.

Despite having a cough the entire week, it was a truly amazing experience, seeing my favorite band in the whole world, 6 nights in a row (Including Carl's show) It was one of the most incredible experiences I've ever had. All you guys on the forum are wonderful, and I feel honored to have shared in the experience with all of you guys.  It's crazy to see the broad spectrum that this band draws, fans of all ages, from all over the world. And even though Terminal 5 wasn't the greatest venue in the world, and one night I was repeatedly hit with electronics, these shows will always be remembered with good vibes, and as good times, with great music and great people!
I NEEDED IT MOST WHENEVER tbh

Dude pants rocked off in my bedroom

it's a good thing those are the few details you can recollect
:-*

Also in my top 10 was cleaning the shower drain on two occasions.  That was amazing
I did that on the last day right before I left and would have sworn it was a week's worth. Astounding.

I  don't have enough time to write everything I want to (another week wouldn't be enough), but like ynwa, I knew I was going to have a great week -- however, I didn't expect it to be the most incredible rock show experience(s) combined with sharing space with THE BEST peeps ever put on this Jacketized Earth, and I have the feeling the whole thing will never be topped for me, but I'm still gonna keep trying every time I see you guys.

Hey Ruckus, great time rocking with you for the last three nights.  I'm still not clear on what happened when that guy crashed into our backs on Friday night......I felt a surge from the back and then felt a body planting himself on top of me..I flinched with my right elbow showing a bit of uncharacteristic agreesion, but it got the job done....... turned around and the guy was flat on his back on the floor.  Was he surfing on top of the crowd or just running and jumping on top of people....either way, it strengthened our bond as protectors of our people/ space......we also demonstrated much chivalry to Trish and Jen(tube top).......we will rock out together again soon.

Don't feel bad, you guys didn't pay all that time and money to face away form the stage looking for potential drop kicks

Some guy on Sat couldn't handle his one-hitter, got the topsies instantly and landed on my foot. After the 3rd or 4th time, my Kung-Fu action grip was triggered and he had a knuckle forcefully inserted into his kidney. I make no apologies.

Hellz yeah it was great rockin' with you too!  Beyond the joy of the moments at the show, I'm more grateful for you and your wife's unlimited generosity and kindness.  There are not enough thanks for that.

As for that guy, he was surfing and I think the crew right behind us said "fuck this dude" and dropped him.  I know Dragonboy and Sparkle watched the shenanigans from above.  My understanding is that he was the one and only surfer, at least near us.

QuoteI forgot to mention Hot Fun in the Summertime, Tom singing .... that was deft. a highlight, made me giggle.
I completely agree with this.  My shit eating grin grew to massive levels each time Tom took the mic. ;D  Great times tubetop

Back to life, back to reality.

It's a very bittersweet feeling I'm experiencing.  I feel so lucky that I was able to experience this and join you all on this amazing journey.  Many of us were strangers to each other and it I think it is simply incredible how one thing can unite all of us together.  It really felt like we were a small family.  I don't think I've ever met a nicer group of people in my life, and I'm sad that this run is over.  I don't think there will ever be anything like this again, but I hope we can all come togther again at another point in time.

my week was fantastic

it is not so often anymore (in fact it never happens) where I get to experience a truly stress free environment which is filled with music, happiness, and fellowship.

It goes without saying that the shows were out of this world.  Never in my life, and most likely never again, will I go to 6 straight days of concerts featuring my favorite band.  That, in and of itself, makes this week amazing.  The music was really top notch, and the performances will be something I remember for quite a while.

Of course though, my experience would not have been as memorable had I not been able to share it with all the forum board peeps.  It would not have been as fun, just showing up (alone), enjoying my favorite band, and then going home.  The fact that I got to share this awesome week, with all of you, is truly what I will remember most.
I love that through the power of music, 50+ strangers, from all across the country (and the world) can come together and have a fun, rewarding, and memorable experience, which was enriched by those same strangers who they barely knew (beyond online conversations) just days before.

So to all of those folks who I met this week, and those of you who I had met before, thanks again for making this week a really special one.
I hope that the music brings us back together again at some point.

soooooooo...my week fucking rocked

I'm still collecting everything I want to say...for now: you people are the most amazing bunch of folks I have ever met. Bailey and I were so thankful to have met so many great people and it made our trip wonderful. The long report will be coming soon...glad to see everyone made it home safe!!

ack .. Where to Begin just came on the radio. can we rewind time please?!

I 100% agree with everyone's comments. It's taken me a day or so to recover from the incredible week that we got to share! Meeting so many amazing & friendly people was the icing on the cake. You guys simply fucking RAWK!

What can I say about the shows? Utterly mind blowing! I fear I may never be able to duplicate the amount of fun Christi & I had. Not to mention my panties are forever rocked off! The boys were just on fire!

Much love to all & I can only hope to meet up with you guys at future shows :)
Homer no function beer well without.

I'm thinking early retirement for Bob & Me, and opening up  a My Morning Jacket commune?   Whose in?  Such a talented group of people, we could definitely make it work.
