Well I worked at a restaurant that brewed its own beer, so I kind of feel like it wont be all that interesting since Ive seen one already and learned the process and stuff. I realize this would be a whole nother ballgame, so its def something worthwhile?

Is the beer cheaper there?  8-)

QuoteI lived in Chico, CA for many years and have spent many hours (and dollars) at the Sierra Nevada Brewery.  I think I got spoiled.

Gotta support your local brewery!  8-)

If getting a 3 free beer in the tap room is cheap, then yeah! It was cool going to Miller, because it's sooo big and you get to watch a sweet video! And the hometown one was cool just because. I have a couple friends that work there. Cases for under 5 dollars, and kegs around 25, that'd be a sweet job. That or being the High Life guy.

QuoteNewcastle was such a nice change yesterday from all of the heavy hops! Can't wait to get to VT next week to slurp up some Long Trail Ale... :)
moose drool man, moose drool

dont you dare slander Newcastle like that!!  >:(

Moose drool is very tasty, but man! does it give me gas. Headdy when you go to Montana try some Moose Drool, it's from there  8-)
Indead, Newcastle is very tasty stuff.

IMO, Newcastle is the most drinkable beer out there. Enough body and flavor for a beer snob, but light enough to be able to pound them in hot summer lots at shows or elsewhere outside.

but with newcastle its got clear glass if it sits for more than a month even flourescent light can taint it moose is in a dark bottle and more caramel and maple flavors... it blows it out of the water i love new but when i tasted the drool i fell in love..... just a better brew ....no sam smith but better than newcastle this coming from a fan too

QuoteI'd love to visit  that brewery. I've been to the Miller plant 3 times, and the brewery from my hometown both were pretty sweet. My brother wants to take me to the New Belgium brewery for a tour, and I said when's the next flight? Obvious Fat Tire fans.

I believe it is a 4.5. Was surprised to find that out the other day considering Bud is a 4.7.

it is a pretty sweet glass. I'm intriqued by it.

New Sam Adams glass?!  Gotta check this out!  I wish I would have had one for my homebrew, considering it was an extra-hopped ale.  I really need to try one of those contraptions where you run the beer through the fresh hops.  I'm all about the hops.
We could.

stupid question probably, but it would work for any brew, not just Sam, right?

ive had one for a while and i cant really tell a difference between it and a pint glass in taste.... its cool looking but with the curved lip i always end up wearing my beer before i am even wasted

Last night I tried:

New Belgium Dandelion Ale - SO good, brewed without hops, but with dandelion greens as the bittering agent...apparently they brewed it as an experiment in response to the hop shortage last year.  Delicious!

Founders Rubaeus - apparently they add fresh raspberries at FIVE different points in the brewing process.  Great raspberry flavor without being too sweet.

New Holland Mad Hatter - good, but too hoppy for me.  And I love hops.  It just wasn't pleasant to drink after a while.
if it falls apart or makes us millionaires

For all the New Belgium/Fat Tire fans, they are giving away a Fat Tire bike every day till the end of the summer. You can sign up every day if you'd like. I do.
