Heres a link to it....http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_crime/2010/10/23/2010-10-23_shootout_at_manhattan_diner_leaves_one_man_dead_as_argument_between_two_groups_g.html                                                                                                                                                                                                                                        I didnt really see much (thank god) cause when I heard the shots I was under my booth in like, half a second, but that group was about 4 booths up from ours.

QuoteI had a T3 experience (the last 3 nights), and it was the coolest concert experience of my 33 years. It was a full blown MMJ musical...with all the characters one would expect in a NYC performance. Holy shit...we saw/heard Tommy sing...wow.

The best thing about my time at T5 (besides the music) were you guys; every night when I got dropped off by myself in front of the venue I knew exactly where to find everyone...center floor, from the rail to about 15' back. It was completely cool to have such a group of friends right next to me to experience this blur. The floor at T5 was an ocean during the shows, but we were always looking out for each other: I would swim out of the crowd to go get a drink and when it was time to swim back (against the current) I knew you guys would through me a line to get back to our friendly life raft that was floating in the middle.

I am also completely grateful to MMJ; I can only thank them and offer my eternal love for them and what they do. This last week has to be extremely emotional for a group of guys like MMJ; they had to go down roads (songs) that they have not been down in years. I could feel that some of these roads were smooth and easy, but also that some were rough, bumpy memories that stirred up past spirits. I am sure as we are looking back at last week and catching our breath, that the boys are doing the same. I have never felt so close to a group of musicians and their fans.

It was nice to meet so many cool people in one place for one thing...My Morning Jacket.

And I did proof reading this >:(  ...Ruckus :P

Yay Ben!  So good to see you again, and looking forward to more shows in the future!  SO glad you got a setlist! ;D

Still so freaked out by this - but so glad you got outta there so quickly.  Whew....close one.  You could really spin this into a very interesting tale....witnessing a murder, and STILL going to the show the next night!

Back in sunny Australia waiting to board my final flight to Melbourne minus my bag which is lost somewhere between here and there... my posters, vinyl and t shirts are having a little adventure somewhere. Fingers crossed they make it home (CRAP!!!)  :-[

I'm soooo tired, but still amped. I had my own little T5 retrospective on the flight and listened to everything in order. Made the time go alot faster. Brought back lots of memories as the songs played through...

OK...I'm back at work and have been thinking about this past week and all I can say is WOW...The people Bailey and I met in NYC were all so nice and I don't know what we would have done without all of you. First things first though: Pennylane, I will never be able to even begin to repay you for all of your help. We were able to go see Carl and watch the EU night all thanks to you. We owe you big time!! To all the people we met, I am not even gonna try to name any names because everyone was wonderful and I don't wanna leave anyone out. I feel even closer to you great people on here now and I can't wait for more jacket events in the future and the opportunity to become closer to a lot of you. If what everyone is saying is true, it looks like our boys are gonna be at the Roo next year and we will definitely have T5 part 2!!  If any of you are ever in the Alabama area feel free to let us know and we will get together!! Take it easy!!

Aw, I miss you too Haldon!  ;)

This is Paul, by the way. Just wanted to pop in here and say that I'm really glad I decided to make the trip out for these shows. What a week! So nice to meet so many of you, both again and for the first time. Thanks to all the true hardcores for making an interloper like myself feel welcome...

'Till the next time, cheers! (I think this forum needs a wider range of emoticons, though. :))

ALady and I miss that sweater of yours.  ;)

Another random Ky story from the week. According to darkglow, I have "old lady milling around syndrome" because I woke up early before everyone else and would walk around the apartment in the dark. Whatever. I had things scattered everywhere...I am not an old lady!  :P

Ya know how they have those "themed" cruises?  Star Trek Cruises, Chocoholic Cruises, Ballroom Dancing Cruises, Nude (!!) Cruises, Antiques cruises,  Harley Davidson cruises??

Could we perhaps have a Jacket Cruise?    Ahh...a girl can dream...
