Perhaps, since it had been leaked, they just decided to go ahead and send them out.
Hand-written lyric sheets, with doodles, for all the songs, printed on the back of a fold-poster with scenes from the "gym."
CD inner sleeve has the band dressed as "moon men" (sort of the MMJ version of Beatles eggmen, walrus, etc., costume). Spooky. Looks like they might be standing in a shower room (in the church?).
I have downloaded to my Mac (lossless) and it is currently thundering out through my DAC and Audirvana player for some fine listening enjoyment.
The sound quality is definitely a step up from anything we have heard so far (leaked mp3; NPR stream). When someone rips the vinyl to 24/96 flac it will really be something! PM me if you are getting the vinyl and have the ability to do a quality rip, please.

Very Jealous! I haven't even received an email saying it has shipped. It only has ten songs on it, right? The NPR article that streams the CD stated eleven which I imagine is someone's inability to count.

I just wish that they were offering downloads at something higher than 16/44. I am considering buying the vinyl just so I can have someone with the proper equipment rip it at 24/192 so I can hear it how it is supposed to be heard: studio master quality.
got my t-shirt, poster, and membership card in the mail just now. Bam! hell yeah. the color of the shirt is way sweeter than the one they previewed. very nice of them to put the poster in a cardboard cylinder too. classy stuff from the boys.

My heavyweight black vinyl arrived today with poster, t-shirt, etc. I was shocked when I put it on at 33rpm to see that it was 45rpm. The vinyl sound quality is ridiculous and I get a lot of extra exercise changing the records. I've played side 4 three times in a row... need to get up and spin it at least a 4th time...

So I cracked a bottle of champagne and listened to the album in its entirety on the 45rpm green vinyl. It sounded very good. :) Just looking for the extra 4 songs... ;)

i'd been one of the "virgins" waiting to hear the album until I got it; nor have I been reading any of the member reviews, so my ears were very tender and ready to receive the new tunes
the only ones that I had heard were circuital and HOTBM
all I can say is wow....i gave it 4 listens last night. I really like the flow of the album a a whole.

I pre ordered the CD, not just the digital download. The email update said the CD was shipped with everything else but I didn't get it. Instead I got 2 posters so I think there was a mess up.....looks like i'll get rocking NPR a little bit longer

Working nights and getting woke up early is normally not a cool thing...unless it's the Postman dropping off a sweet package of Roll Call doings and new Jacket sounds 5 days before the release date. Being an older Rock a Roller I can still remember hopping on a TARC bus to Phoenix records on Greenwood Road in Louisville and getting one of the first copies of Back in Black on it's release day, this band has brought that kind of youthful feeling back - "I'm older day to day, still goin' back to my childhood way" indeed and thanks once again. Firing up the old Bose 501's with my Roll Call t-shirt on as I hit the post button. :D :D :D

The large that arrived today fits as expected, it is 100% cotton so no dryer tumbling for this one.

The boys exceeded expectations.
Besides the awesome poster and really nice shirt that comes with box and roll call membership, regardless of the price, this is really something special.
I got lots of records in my collection but nothing that came packaged as sweetly and full of detail as this one starting off the box (wow) and all the way thru the booklet w handwritten lyrics. Everything is way better than we got a right to expect and they didn't skimp on anything here or miss any details.
And then there is the vinyl. Besides for "holy shit this is cool" color, the sound quality on these two 45 rpm records is better than any of the earlier stuff (imo). I've been listening to the leak for a few weeks (no interest in virginity) and while I thought that was good, this is so much better. Like the difference between listening to MMJ in the car and seeing them live.

the only "poster" in the box is a 12 x 12 b&w photo that we've seen on the website. not a big hanging poster that folds out but a classy photo that is easily framed in an "album frame". the other poster is the roll call one.

Just watched "One Big Holiday". I wasn't at that Louisville show, but I made to their Waterfront Park show in 2008. I really, really want to get back there now. What a great piece of film.

It kinda comes with two bookmarks, one of which is obviously not able to be planted. The other, I was trying to figure out how deep in the soil I should lay it...maybe an inch at most?

I got my cd in the mail yesterday. I haven't had the scratch to join Roll Call yet or spring for the deluxe box, so I just went with cd/download.
I actually live near Tom and he is a regular customer at the place where I work, so I mentioned to him yesterday that I had gotten delivery confirmation. He seemed surprised. I asked him if I had to wait until Tuesday to listen (joking).
When I got the package I noticed it was shipped USPS priority mail. I'm guessing the upgrade was to ensure on-time delivery due to the holiday weekend--no mail delivery on Monday.
I had already pegged next week as MMJ Week, with the release, the Palace Show and Storytellers. Now I guess MMJ Week has 9 days! Woot.
My friend got hers today and never got an email.

I just got home and mine isn't here. My friend who got hers with no notice lives in Jersey, for what its worth.
Murfreesboro, TN. It has arrived. I find it funny that the records were manufactured 20 miles from my house, but had to go to Cali to get put together then shipped back to TN.
Also, keep hope alive everyone, because I also DID NOT receive the golden ticket. This box though, is off the effing hook. I expected a crappy little thing like the Okonokos set, but it's way sturdier. The lenticular picture on the front looks great. I am thoroughly impressed with this sucker. The translucent green is translucent-ier (new word) than any other records I've seen. It's a damn fine set. So much so that the Roll Call stuff takes a back-seat. Beautiful poster and shirt, and it feels good to have a My morning Jacket membership card to flash around after all these years of carrying the flag (so to speak). Ha.
This album does sound so good on vinyl. I am filled up with the goodness.
Got mine today, woot... so impressed i ordered another box before it's too late. No golden ticket here but i made quick work of putting the picture in a frame in between flipping the 4 sides...

I had the same problem. One of mine is warped but it still plays....it was the second LP.
Side A/B are warped for me. Play though. Wamps.

Mine's warped pretty bad.....
These were pressed at united record pressing in nashville. The warped records sound to m e like a transit issue. Jack white presses all of his stuff there and I've had nothing but top notch records. Also urp always hides the download cards in the sleeves and they tend to stick inside the gatefold. I'm waiting here not so patiently for the mail lady to deliver mine today

If you pull disc 2 all the way out with its sleeve, there's a small black piece of paper with instructions and your download code in the album jacket.
My d/l card was stuck in the LP-2 sleeve between the sleeve and gatefold, tucked deep in there. Any word on the 20 panel fold out poster? I have only listened to LP-1 A/B and it wasn't warped, hopefully I can report the same for LP-2.
Wow this is such a awesome box set very much comparable to the white stripes under great white northern lights boxset which btw won a grammy so maybe the boys will too. No golden ticket for this guy but who cares i just feel lucky that my lps arent warped
Have not yet received the box, but all this talk of warped records saddens me. The only time I've recently had a problem with badly-pressed vinyl was the Neil Young vinyl box that came out a year or two ago, and Warner was very quick in sending out replacement copies, as well as bonus goodies for the trouble. I would hope that BandMerch or whoever is in charge of selling these would do the same for Circuital customers with defective copies.
My Roll Call standard vinyl package was waiting for me when I arrived home from work yesterday. It was a nice surprise on my 30th bday!

Hmmm I had troubles too initially, it said the "MP3 folder hasn't been uploaded" or some jazz... but I emailed them, and they got right back to me by the next afternoon and had it straightened out, keep the chin up!!!
soooo i selected to download in lossless when i bought the boxset... but my dl was mp3... :(
I hope I get mine soon, I'm starting to get really antsy now!!!

don't know if you are a vinyl guy or whatever.. but last week i stumbled upon a sorta new record store downtown off gregory st. that had will oldham (bonnie prince billy) doing a free in-store performance that evening and only MAYBE 40 people were there.. it was one of the most intimate live music experiences i've ever been a part of.. the staff from the record store is awesome and the guy buys turntables off of a guy who buys them by the truckload and drives them around the region selling them to vinyl record stores for like 30-40 bucks a pop.. i'm assuming because he's such an audiophile..
by the way, how's the leg? you have some sweet artwork on your cast? i wanna draw a liger like napoleon dynamite

I'd love to get into vinyl, I just don't have the time. The only time I get to really listen to music is driving, working out or yardwork. Not really conducive to vinyl listening. One day, though, for sure. I saw that Will was playing! That is awesome, glad you got to go to that. It's such a pain in the ass for me to get out of the house right now, I'm kind of being a hermit.
The leg
feels good, I just have to trust there is a lot of healing going on in there. That's the hard part. I feel fine, I'm just not supposed to put any weight on it for 6-8 weeks. They told me the other day I'm looking at 6 months for full recovery and then total knee replacement in ten years. It's been a
GREAT week... Anyway, no cast, just a big leg brace which I don't have to use anymore. That's about the only good news I've gotten lately.
just finishing Movin Away on vinyl for the first time. The 1, 2 punch of beautiful slow jams at the end of this record is amazing. the 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10 punch of the record is amazing also. I don't plan on listening to much else this summer...
I believe the download will come in an email along with the four bonus tracks on tuesday. The download card in the sleeve is pretty much a standard from records pressed at URP.
it already let me use the download card.

Usually cards like that with records have an expiration date (have to cash it in within a year), so I was just thinking "if it has an expiration date, maybe it has a 'release' date. You might have the card but it isn't activated until a certain day."

I have doubts that I'll actually get an e-mail tonight at midnight with a link to download, so I convinced the owner of my local record store (rather easily) to sell me a copy tonight. So now I've got a copy in hand and I can finally listen to what I've been waiting for months to listen to. One set is mp3 and the other is apple aac for the ipod. Also, the files each have a different color eye from the album pretty cool.
Fuckkk mine didn't come with artwork cause I got mine through the download card in the deluxe set.

The one on iTunes is only 4+ minutes long, and you can't buy it separately. Looks like they weren't kidding when they said the documentary was exclusive to the deluxe.

I have to say as much as I love the album I don't see what the point of pre-ordering it was. Sort of feels like paying for it early to make sure you can't have it on the day its out. I really thought they would ship it for today, oh well glad I didn't hold out on the leak!

Dang, I wonder if they recieved more orders than they were expecting, or they realized there was issues with the warping and stopped what hadn't gone out yet. It is worth the wait. (Well, I guess it's worth the wait only if you have another copy of the album somehow.)

Yeah, I'm not that worried about it.
to the folks that haven't got their packages yet... i got my box last friday and once i saw it i decided to order another for safe keeping. I placed the order friday evening and got a tracking number on tuesday. It doesn't say when it'll get here yet but that's the wonderful tracking system of the postal services fault.
my point being, if you ordered a long time ago and still haven't got it, i'd be calling someone to find out where your disc/s are...

I actually received mine early. The wife didn't care to tell me that I had received a package.
It was just the shot in the arm I needed after receiving some terrible news yesterday.
I slide the disc into the CD player expecting nothing due to my state of mind and was transfixed for an hour.
Finally got mine!!! Love the lyrics sheet! My day just suddenly got awesome.

the second box i ordered last friday came yesterday... tracking on usps still doesn't say it's been delivered. i'd suggest a call to those still waiting, sounds like it's been lost in the mail or overlooked.
on a related note, the outer box was all smashed and torn open with a USPS sticker on it that says "Received in damaged condition" WTF does that mean? i'm supposed to just think the distribution sent it with a big hole in the box and smashed to shit? What a lazy excuse for a service the federal postal system has become.
Kory, I hear ya brother. The usps sucks. I have received lots of records recently that have been damaged in transit. Not 30 or 40 dollar records either. They don't give a fuck and say the same shit always, "received damaged" or "they should have packaged it better". Just another gov't run agency. Hope you can get your issues resolved.
I GOT MINE. wooo.. and i just realized my record player only plays small 45s? cause it's on 45 but for some reason it's sounds slower than it suppose to be. i put the pitch up so that makes it a lil faster. advice? (is it the record player?)
update: fixed. just my record player being a shithead.

Did you make a band merch password? Even though its the same email used for the order I had to create a password again for that site and then it knew my email. An hour after sending an inquiry they replied and said my package had just shipped. Sounds like they need some reminding to fulfill some of these orders?
Bandmerch notified me that my box shipped on Friday 6/3. At least I know its gone out, and I have tracking #. All in all, its a major disappointment to buy an album on a presale, and not get it until 10 days after the onsale. (even considering the download in my possession) Lesson learned.
Got mine today. Didn't spin it yet, but vinyl looks fine. No golden ticket.
Listening to Circuital right now through a nice set set of headphones, at 24/96 resolution (upsampled by my DAC to 26/192), files on my MacBook, using Audirvana player...
And it sounds: Wonderful.

i'm late with this but i got mine last week! just before the postal strike in canada....actually, i'm not even sure if it happened because that was the only mail i cared to get and i got it! haha.
discs seems ok. One may be slightly warped, but this is in truth, my first vinyl ever....so i'm not the best judge.

I apologize if this has already been brought up, I have a question about the Circuital download that's linked with the purchase of the limited edition box. Did anyone receive a "download not available" message when accessing this link? I got the limited edition as a bday gift so I just received it on Saturday and just tried the DL link today. Has anyone else experienced this? If so, was it resolved? Ima be pissed if I can't get the digital version of the album that's supposed to come w/ the delux box...

Did I miss something? I didnt get a RC membership card. Only a laminate, poster, and tshirt. Was the membership card only sent last year, or what?
