And Auburn got beat by South Florida.
And Michigan got beat by App. State.
And USC got beat by Stanford.
And Georgia got beat by South Carolina.
And WVU got beat by Pittsburgh.
And Oklahoma got beat by Colorado.

Crazy year.

and Ole Miss got beat by Alabama

QuoteI just remind to remind Angry Ewok that THE Ohio State Buckeyes are #2 and the Alabama Crimson Tide are unranked.

Actually, Ohio State is #5... Georgia Bulldogs (SEC) are #2.

;D

Ohio State should be #6 behind West Virginia, in my opinion.

Anyway, it's sad that you have to compare your l33t team to Alabama, a legitimate "rebuilding team," in order to consider the season a success. In fact, it's pathetic on your part because I couldn't help but notice Alabama looked better against LSU than Ohio State did - *gigglez*

Anyway, while Ohio State is raking in it's #1 Defense stats by facing the awesomely competitive powerhouses of Youngstown State, Akron, Northwestern, Minnesota, Kent State, and Michigan State... Alabama looked good against #1 LSU, took #2 Georgia into overtime, totally humiliated #12 Tennessee, beat then #16 Arkansas, and lost to a Top 25 Mississippi State, and #14 Auburn.

Ohio State would probably go 7-5 in the SEC.

Excuse me.  Let me try that again:

I just remind to remind Angry Ewok that THE Ohio State Buckeyes are #5 and the Alabama Crimson Tide are unranked.

But you're right Alabama isn't in the same league as Ohio State so comparisons aren't fair.  I'll try to stick to comparing them to teams with a winning tradition.

Oh and What the fuck is this "rebuilding year" bullshit I keep hearing? The "our team is young" excuse is only good for the first three weeks or so - it doesn't work so well 6 MONTHS INTO THE SEASON!

In case you didn't pick up on it that last part is a direct quote from a post YOU made today. Only a matter of hours ago. Gain some perspective for christ's sake!

So what is it Ewok Ohio State can't make excuses about rebuilding but Bama can.  I guess that's what happens when Ohio State is in a class above Bama, as you said.

QuoteWho's ready to eat their words?!  Come on SEC fans, let's hear one more time how every team in your conference could beat any team in any other conference.  Or how OSU doesn't deserve to be in this game.  Give me some more fodder to say I told you so tomorrow night.  I am excited to see OSU get their revenge on the SEC and finally shut some of you up a little bit.

Let's Go BUCKEYES!!!

***DISCLAIMER: I did not attend the Ohio State University so I obviously have no emotional investment in this game.  These are my ideas and conjectures based on outside observations.  I just hope the best team wins!***  ;)

who's ready to eat their words now. :-/  you remind me of every obnoxious OU fan who comes out of the word work whenever we win and is nowhere to be found when shit hits the fan.  take all the shots at OU you want, we lost to plenty of teams we were better than, I think the comparisons between Jim Tressel and Stoops are pretty similar now.  They've both had their asses handed to 'em in 2 straight title games.  good luck next year

won't happen as we rotate who we play in the north every two years.  unless it's in the big 12 championship game and then yeah that rivalry will get real interesting ;)

no response?  Take note, people. I shut an SEC fan up!

I know I should sooner be hanging my head than arguing again but ewok is such an idiotically blind SEC fan it's fun while perhaps too easy to poke holes in his crazy assertions.  Your team was 7-6 this year, asshole!!!!

Where's Ole Miss on that list?  Ohio State's number of National Championship is nothing to be ashamed of.  WAY more than LSU, or Ole Miss. Post that list as many times as you'd like.

I'm a little bit confused.  I don't really care that you didn't go to Ohio State, as I didn't go to UNC...but I have PLENTY of emotional investment tied with them as I've been raised to live and die by Carolina basketball.  I don't see how you CAN'T have emotional investment with your #1 team, whether it be in baseball or soccer or whatever.  C'mon.  Be emotional.  It's all the rage 8-)

I think your a fan, just not a very good one.  Where you went to school or if it's your alma matter makes no difference to me, Tracy and I differ there.  Your obviously a fan, you always talk good about them, want them to win etc. etc..  but when they get their asses handed to em'  you never say much about the game, just argue when someone throws a small jab your way about your team.  I know you and Tracy don't exactly get along, but you usually go on the defensive pretty quick if anybody pokes a little fun at your team.

As for me, I actually think OU and Ohio State's programs are on a pretty even keel.  Each of our respective coaches won the national title in their second year.  Both of have lost back to back national title games and when they weren't in national title games, they were at least BCS bowls, saving maybe a year or two.  Always in the top 10 at the end of the year yadda yadda yadda.  I think you guys had a good team just not the most talented, but then again neither did we ;)

I'm just being coy because Tracy says I'm not a real fan of OSU because I didn't graduate from there.  Just pointing out the absurdity of that comment.

EasyE,  the only thing I disagree with is when you said when my team loses I don't say much.  They lost last night and I think I've been quite outspoken. The only other time they lost this season I may not have posted but I don't think that makes me a "bad" fan.  Respect.
