We doing this again? Anyone interested? I am.
Also sweet that yahoo offers free apps for iphone and android now
You don't want me in your league. I'd be banned next year for excessive awesomeness.

Actually if ruckus wins this we may have to ban him for awesomeness. Pretty sure he wont get an invite for baseball next year.

Weve had the league for a few years with basically the same forum members, so it might depend on someone dropping out this year for you to join. I cant remember if we had 10 or 12 last year though, I wouldnt be opposed to 12.

Whatevers man. Littleacorn is in! Welcome man. We can go up to 14 if need be. That way there is no unbalanced schedule and everyone plays everyone one time only.

I'm guessing BBill and Walts will be back for sure. Haven't seen Corey around since last football season. Last time I saw Penny, she was talking a lot of smack about Yim's Pickle and how she didn' need a comanager this time ::)
we've gotten a late start on this as well.
How many did we have last year. 10 or 12. True, clarkwork and dark was it?
Dont know how many we had last year. I checked yahoo, and the last year I saw for the league was 08. Wasnt trying to not let Acorn in, but I dont want to boot a vet before they commit either since this thread started today. I dont think True or Dark played last year, we probably had 10.
As for 14 team league, hells no.
I may be tempted to join should you need people to fill slots. I don't want to take up a vets's place, though. Only if ya need peeps.

I dont really care about the room thing, thatll work itself out one way or another. Wasnt trying to be a dick or anything. I just looked on yahoo though, and last year was the first year "clarkwork" was in it, I guess your forum name used to be EazyE or Killgies?! Good to know my memory is still decent, I guess ;)

Some people don't have to try it just comes naturally. I will play if there is room. Maybe go by date registered on this board if we need to knock anyone out or determine if they are a "vet"

Thanks AMD, Looking forward to it again, hoping I do better than I've done in our baseball this year!
I'm in.
But if I remember correctly there was a couple things that should be changed. I can't remember them all, but one for sure is with IDP's. Lets have it as LB, DL, and DB. If I remember correctly there wasn't a LB slot, just a UTL.
"And with the first pick of the 2011 Forum Fantasy Football Draft, the Cap'n selects Antonio Gates."
;D
Shit. Did I get bumped? :)
I checked here a few days ago and there wasn't a thread.
If I don't have a spot in my own league, I'm gonna bust some heads. 8)
Kidding. I didn't read the whole thread. I can re-do the league from last year if there hasn't been a new one started yet.
One more thing. I was runner-up last year and I didn't get all of the money owed to me. I forgot who stiffed me and I don't really care. I just think if we're doing it for money again this year, that needs to get collected by somebody up front somehow.

Dig up last years thread..Im pretty sure we determined who paid you or Ruckus in the thread. You gotta get paid, kid!
That's a lotta work to do to try to rustle up 20 bucks. ;D
If you folks are putting it together, let me know, I'm IN
Hey Corey. Nice to see you a year later ;D
I guess it would make sense to just reup the league and those that played last year get 1st dibs on then anyone else if there's room. And whoever didn't pay last year.....grrrr >:(
haha. Yeah, I peek in from time to time, but I don't think I've posted since the league ended last year.
I'll re-do the same league from last year when I get home tonight. Those folks that were in last year should get invitations at the same email address that you used then. We'll start figuring out who else can get in within the next few days when we see who isn't gonna re-join.

FWIW, I won this mofo in '08 and still haven't received anything. Well, Dylan sent me some DVD's, which I considered payment. The longest, most disappointing part of my day is my walk to mailbox. Each day I think to myself "today's the day" and each day a little part of me dies. :'(
I was in last year, but i'm out this year. Someone can have my spot. Have fun.
Just renewed the league. If you were in last year, you should get an email invitation with whatever address you used last year.
I entered a day and time for the draft, but it was just a placeholder. We can figure that out in the next few days.
Also, when you create your team, try to use the name that you use here on the board so that it'll be easier to keep up with who is who. I'm not your daddy, so I can't tell you what to do, but it'd make life a little easier for everybody. 8)
Since I didn't play last year, I'm guessing you'll need my email - just click on my name and it's in my profile. If you have too many people or an odd amount of people then don''t worry about it, I'll be the one to step down since I bailed out last year.
Yim's Pickle would like to play again.
oh and I won't have a co-manager this year, I'll be attempting it all on my own...
(I think I paid Ruckus last year in person but can't remember)..
Yeah Penny. You paid me in Philly in the middle of the Mummers' Parade and I turned around and bought us a round with it. Man was I hungover. ;D
So just a minibump here to keep the ball rolling and sign up if u played last year.
It was definitely EazyE that fell off the face of this earth with his wallet
so, if I didn't play last year, I don't get an invite.... :(
if there is room, you can email me at hgreenburg@pdmiami.com
Count me out and give my invite to someone more deserving. My performance last year was so pitiful, I should be treated like they do in European soccer and not even be allowed to ever play fantasy football again.
I clicked to invite everyone that played last year except Penny because I thought somebody said that she didn't want to play. I can re-send an invitation to your address though, if you want to send it to me in a message.
As for new folks, I'll need to go back through this thread in the next few days when I have a little extra time. I need to see who hasn't signed up from last year. You should all have email invitations, but I normally end up tracking everybody down and asking if they're in or not.... and I don't really have time to do that this year.

To save ya some reading, Penny's in so that leaves 3 spots for sure open from last year. I figure Jon T., champ from 3 years back is in and True played two years back as well. That leaves one spot for at least three members that expressed interest. I'm prolly in the minority here but I'm not bothered by the idea of a 14 team league. In fact....I'm enamored
I
could be down with a 14 team league, but we gotta keep the benches deep as well. Otherwise, whoevers best players get hurt *cough*Gates*cough* youre screwed.
I also plan on taking Bernard Berrian in approximately the 4th. He's in for a big year with Sidney Rice gone and Chunky Soup throwin him the pigskin.
Today peoples...today ::)
I'll hopefully have some time tonight or tomorrow to go back through the thread and see what's going on. So far, only 5 people from last year have signed back up. Please don't make me track you down. I don't have time for that. :D
I'd also rather not play with 14 people and be drafting scrubs in the 6th round, but whatever. 8)

I believe the 2008 champion made the cut. Otherwise I will gladly cede my spot to you my friend.
On a side note, I commend Corey for being such a patient and kind commissioner. I currently run two baseball and two football leagues and nothing drives me crazier (besides those that don't pay up front) then someone asking to be in the league, getting an invite, then not accepting the invite until a week before the draft while I scramble to make sure the spots are properly filled. I'm really not trying to be a bitch here but we need to set a draft time already. If you want in, sign up so Corey isn't having this same conversation a week from now. End Rant

I appreciate the kind gesture but I'm looking forward to kicking your pansy ass up and down fantasyville. (oh yes I did)
I tried to sneak in the league through the back door by pulling up my old profile, but no dice. ;D So if someone could just, you know, get me that password, that'd be great.

Is the password still evilurges?
I just tried to look, but it won't show it to me. It's blocked out and I didn't need it to renew the league.
These people have registered:
bbilll
hawkeye
amilliondreams
capt headdy
ruckus
corey
I got Penny's address in an email today. Sending that invitation right now.
Bigbossman is out, according to his post here. I deleted his spot and invitation from the league. Crispyy is out as well.
jon t, I just sent you a new invitation to the address that you mentioned in this thread.
Walt, your spot is still there from last year, but you haven't signed up yet. If you need the invitation again, send me your email address.
So, we have 6 confirmed people listed above. 4 people from last year or before have invitations pending ( Walts, Jon T, Penny, Clarkwork). That makes 10 people.
Invite 2 more new folks?
*I hope I haven't screwed something up or left somebody out based on what I read in this thread.
Clarkwork was sent an invitation yesterday.
Aaaaand one more thing. I'd like to have the draft ASAP.
Let's say Wednesday or Thursday night (17th or 18th). 7 PM central time.

I was only referring to people that were signed up last year or the year before that. Trying to get all of those folks in line before we bring in new folks.
I'm showing 8 people signed up total this morning. I think Jon T and Clarkwork got in. If the other 2 from last year (Penny and Walt) get signed up, we'll have 10.
We can add 2 more to make it 12. I'd rather not go 14, but I'll change my mind if enough of the folks from last year agree on it.
I'll go back through here later today and find the 2 new people to add based on who posted first.

Woah! How come so early Corey? There are going to be a lot more injuries and roster changes before the season starts. Can we do it closer to opening kickoff if possible? I'm with Jon T. I'd prefer a little bit later evening start time if possible.
If you guys need another team...I would be in for it. Hit me up.
haha. Sorry, Ruckus. I'm a little antsy. Also, I got an email from somebody (was it you?) talking about trying to schedule the draft ASAP. I'm not tied to this week AT ALL. I was just throwing that out there.
Generally, Wednesdays and Thursday nights are better for me. I mentioned 7 PM central because I *think* that's what time we did it last year. I was on 3 leagues, so it gets kinda foggy sometimes. I just know I was in one league that took fucking forever to draft and I'd rather not draft later than 8 PM (especially if we end up with 12 or 14 players). Seems like 7 or 8 PM central would be a nice round time for most people.
Penny still needs to sign up. She should have an invitation. That would make 10 players.
I'd rather not go to 14, but I will if y'all really want to. And by y'all, I'm referring to returning players.
I'll go back through this thread again tonight and contact the first 2 non-returning players that wanted in. Be on the lookout for a PM. If I don't hear back from you in a couple of days, I'm moving on to the next person that wanted in. I don't have time to go tracking everybody down. :-*
EDIT:
I just emailed Capt Scotty and littleacorn via the email address on your profile. Let me know if you didn't get the email.
I'm gettin' antsy too. I'll try to go whenever you guys want, but in general Tuesdays are bad for me. I can work with whatever time you guys want after 7 PM Central.
How about Thursday the 25th at 8PM Central?
ooops. Oddly enough, that particular Thursday is bad for me. I shoot high school football for the local cable company and the season-opener is that night. How about wednesday the 24th?
I think we should roll with 12. Let in True and Crispy and one of the newbies.
I'm not picky on schedule, as long as it's in the evening I'll most likely be able to make it.
What time are you thinking Corey? Wednesdays aren't good for me unless it's later on.
Crispy is out. I wouldn't mind a later draft time as well. At least I moved out of downtown so I won't get my car towed this year like I did last year during the draft. The winnings didn't pay for even half of the tow. ::)
I didnt get an email but I would still like to be in if you'll have me
EDIT: nevermind I got the email it was in my spam folder count me in
The anticipation is killing me... Which newbies are getting in?
Is this league going to be interesting?
<-------Puts his name in the hat
I sent emails to Capt Scotty and Little acorn. They were the first 2 to post in the thread. Still waiting on Penny to sign up. Those 3 would make 12 total.

Yeah, we have 11 now. Need one more, but there are several people that threw in their names. If True and mannamedtruth are the same person, you'll be in by default because of previous years playing with us. If not, I'll find the next person in line that commented in this thread.

Alright, cool. I'm sending True (mannamedtruth) a PM to get his address. He'll be number 12.

Id prefer to do it as close to the first game as possible, like Sept. 5th or around there.
Im flexible as far as what day and time, although I dont think it should be any earlier than 9pm considering west coasters like bbill.
Looks like we got 12. Sweet. So we're all good on that.
September 5th would work for me because I won't have to work that night since it's a holiday.
What time is better for everyone? 8 PM central?
September 5th might be a little tough for me. I have no idea when I'll be home as I'll be driving back from Milwaukee to Baltimore that day. If you do choose it, I can definitely make 10pm eastern.
Otherwise, are we keeping the same format and settings? I can do the 6th at 9 Eastern or later no problem also.
The 6th is no good for me.
I'll probably leave the settings the same unless somebody really thinks we need to swap something up.
I didnt realize the 5th was Labor day, I just threw a date out there that was before the 8th which is the first game. So 5th or 6th are a no go. I could do the 7th but its my bday so Id rather not...3rd or the 4th?
Im fine with the settings from what I recall.
Someone email or contact me once draft date is set. I'm good on weekdays, just let me know. Thanks

I didnt realize the 5th was Labor day, I just threw a date out there that was before the 8th which is the first game. So 5th or 6th are a no go. I could do the 7th but its my bday so Id rather not...3rd or the 4th?
Im fine with the settings from what I recall.
I can't do the weekend. Maybe we can take a vote for Tues-Wed 8/30-8/31 around 9 or 10 eastern time?
I'm good with the 31st.
I've come to the conclusion I likely won't make this draft, whenever it's set for. Just let us know Corey so I can coach up my proxy.
the 31st is good for me, too..
30th is bad for me, 31st is fine. I'd prefer to go at 9PM Eastern.
31st would work for me.
Sorry. I've been away for the weekend. Looks like the 31st is probably gonna work best for everybody. 8 PM Central?

9pm Central would be much better if it's not too late for you old ones. I'm sure that would give BBill enough time to get home also?? If not, I can get my gf to draft the first couple rounds for me if need be.

Cool. I can do I 8 central but 8:30 would be better. It's fine, I'm sure I'll get autodrafted AP, Rivers and Manningham. I'll take it from there.

Anyone have any insight into Chad Henne this year? He was taken in the 3rd round in another draft I had the other night. :o

Hope there were about 40 teams in that league. I wouldn't touch Henne. He'll probably be the starter at the beginning of the season but will likely be benched at some point as well.

10PM EST/9PM Central would be best for me as well as a couple others, but I could certainly do 8PM Central that day.
Im on vacation and almost shit myself when I checked the league site and it said the draft is currently scheduled for 8PM Thursday (as in less than 48hrs from now). That would be terrible for me, and I doubt many others realized its currently scheduled so soon. Corey, I would try ASAP to schedule it on the 31st, because my friend in my other league ;) said many of the spots on yahoo are taken, so you cant just reschedule the draft for whenever you want. At worst, back it up to some night next week for now at least.
We're on for the 31st at 9 PM Central as of right now. That's gonna runs us kinda late (for the folks that have to get up early in the morning). I'm ok with that as long as none of you peckerheads take your full minute and a half to make a pick. ;D

I'm good, kind of late for me on the east coast, but it's ok.
I got an email today saying it would be the 25th though, just making sure.

Can you confirm the draft is WED night 10pm EST? (for those of us time zone challenged)
Would anyone be opposed to adding 2 bench spots to the rosters?
Penny, that's correct.
Scotty. I'd need to look at the roster stuff. I can't get into my Yahoo account right now. I got hacked a couple of days ago and can't login now for some reason. Need to get that fixed before tomorrow night.
It's still letting me check my email from my phone, but I haven't logged out of that in a few days.
EDIT: I got my password changed and got in my account. I changed the bench players to 8. We can to 9 if y'all really want to, but it's already gonna be kinda thin anyway.
I was fine with the bench as it was. Oh well. Because we don't use an "all free agents on waivers" type system, additional bench spots rewards nerds like Scotty that sit on their computers by themselves on Sundays jerking off to a Kevin Greene fathead on his ceiling, while immediately picking up backup rbs the second a sarting rb gets hurt ;D
Guess I'll do the same ::)

My stance is that you should be rewarded for drafting a good team/bench, pretty much the exact opposite of what you are saying with picking up guys ASAP. The more bench spots, the less likely it is a backup RB, upstart WR, etc is still a FA. Pretty sure yinz all pre-empted me on all the big pickups last year anyway - Hillis, Vick, Brandon Jackson, etc.
....and its not Kevin Greene, its Greg Lloyd :-*
Sorry to bring all this shit up the day before the draft, but....
Whats the deal with paying our share? Are we all paying Corey now or what?
Would anyone want to increase it from $20 to $30-$40?
I guess it would depend if we end up increasing it or not, but we gotta figure out what the payouts will be as well.
If there is a spot open next year let me know. Thanks
We could do the collection thing pretty soon. It'd be better than waiting until the season is over. Someone already volunteered to collect, I think. Seems like it was the same person that collects for the baseball league. Or, I could collect. Either way will work...
The payoff system seemed a little skewed last year. I think the first place got over a hundred bucks and I was supposed to get 40 and it seems like the 3rd place got that much as well, which seemed strange to me, but I didn't set up the numbers.
I collected for the baseball league this year and it fell thru. We could try to pay up early and if it doesn't work just pay back the people who followed thru. That's what I'm doing in the baseball league.
I have a league on yahoo with a few open slots I'm trying to fill. It's pretty similar to our league but with Team DEF/Special Teams instead of IDPs. Let me know if you want in.
Just let me know who to paypal and it's there
Looking forward to this 12 team mock draft I'm doing at 10 pm EST tonight.
Hey Corey, you aren't olewiggum on the DBT board are ya? I was lurking the other day after I found out Mcmurtry was playing with Isbell and I came across a Wooden Wand thread actually started by Toth. I've been a fan of his for some time and his album 2nd Attention with the Sky High Band was one of my favorites from last decade. Or that's not you at all and I'll shut up
I'd rather not take the reins this time, but I will if no one else volunteers.
Still waiting to hear back from my boss about whether or not I need to go in tonight. If I do I'll be cleaning kegs and drafting at the same time. Advantage: everyone but me.

sorry, D! that sucks...
(but better for The Pickle if ya know what i mean)
So I started strategerizing today, and so far its looking like....
1st round: Gates
2nd: Berrian
3rd: Ware
4th: Posluszny
5th: Carson Palmer
...and Im probably going best player available from there. my team should be tits.
I'm the commish in another league and we use www.leaguesafe.com (http://www.leaguesafe.com) commissioner sets it up sends invites to everyone and the money is held and then released once the commish sets it, there's a 3% fee for using debit card to pay which is $0.60 for a $20 entry. We use it because of everyone being spread out across the country.
That's me on the DBT board. I'm an admin over there. I used to be olwiggum here also, but changed my name a few years ago because I was meeting some folks at a show and it seemed kinda weird to walk up to someone in person and say, "Hi, I'm olwiggum". :)
Right on wiggum!

That was fun! I'm pretty stoked on my team, though I couldn't help myself and already started tweaking my bench this morning. Can't fuckin' wait for the season to start!
Can't wait to see how the Chargers do this season. ;D
I don't know what to think of my team...Vick needs to stay healthy, for sure. And throw the ball to Jackson a lot! Didn't put much thought into my IDP's. I hope Bob Sanders has a big comeback year, and I know Ed Reed was thinking about retirement...I hope he comes to play...he is a ball hawk so I thought it was worth the chance. Mario Williams is apparently playing standing up on most downs this year? That should be interesting. My running back stable has potential but no for-sure's in there either...
Good luck everyone. Draft was fun...I almost spit out my beer a few times. ;D

Sorry if this is a stupid question or it's been posted, but is the entire score system the default yahoo scoring system? I know Corey mentioned that in the chat room the other night that the QB scoring is but is everything the same?
How do defensive players score?

Under the "League" tab, there is a Scoring & Settings section you can click on. You can get all that info there.
I think we tweaked a setting or 3 over the last few years, but the majority of it is standard Yahoo scoring.
I started a 12 team league for fun. Draft is tomorrow at 445pm. Scoring and starters are essentially the same as our league except with an extra W/T flex, 4 D flexes, and deeper benches. PM me if you want to join it.
...also, your welcome for the trade Clarkwork. I think you got the much better end of the deal, but I needed to create a roster spot to pickup an IDP and a trade made more sense than just dropping someone that would likely get picked up. Just like previous years, Im sure Lee Evans will fuck me again now that I traded him.

I'd been deer hunting since last Friday and just got back to civilization late last night, so I just saw all the fantasy scores this morning. Sorry bout that Penny! You can blame Miles Austin and Adrian Peterson.
Jon T and I are having a battle, I'm hoping I pull through!
Pending any possible stat corrections, stat tracker has ruckus ahead of me by .40 points. >:(
If Mario Manningham wouldn't have tripped over his own feet and concussed himself, he would've scored on that catch and stayed in the game, witch would've been enough to win.
There were some close ones this week. JonT nearly came back and beat me. I have another league where I won by .02

The bitter irony being that I too would have won in one of my "real leagues" had Manningham not concussed himself or whatever happened ;) Lost by 2 points in that one.
I'll have to settle for beating a Steelers fan instead, no small consolation. ;D

Nicks nasty one handed 23 yd catch in the 1st half that the blind zebra called OOB cost me my other league. He may have even gotten 3 feet in on that catch for christsake!!
At least there was a silver lining though. My buddy called me up to brag about the win and say how could I be 0-2 with the #1 pick. To which I responded, its week 2, and your #2 pick SJax is already hurt and you took him over Shady McCoy. He called BS, although I knew McCoy went a crazy 14th overall and even commented on it during the draft, so I bet him $50 that he took both Megatron and SJax before McCoy and am $50 richer. Best FF part of the weekend!!
EVERY ONE of the WRs I drafted is injured. Pussies. ;D

Headdy, are you reading some Chris Harris?
Nice pick-ups of Denarius Moore and Nate Burleson. You're always beating me to the punch.

I drafted Burleson in the 13th and started him week 1, no big deal
And Im 0-2, so sadly Id probably be 1st on those waivers anyway
I also gave Gronk to Clarkwork for next to nothing so he should be happy ;D >:(
Very Very Happy. I wanted to draft him, he's a beast
I've never cared how waiver position is determined as long as it's consistent. I just think all players should be on waivers once the games begin.
PS- Capt- I replied to your trade offer earlier this season and the email was returned to me. Not sure if you have an old email registered or what, just didn't want you to think I ignored it.

I think I saw it..I sent a ton of offers to try to free up a roster spot, and Clark took one of my worst (for me) offers. I wish I just dropped 1 of the 3-4 bums on my bench that I already dropped instead of trying to outsmart myself.

Is that how you convinced him? ;D
He has Romo who isnt ruled out yet for this week. Newton has had a couple nice games, but lets see what happens over the next month. Even if he has a great year, he wont keep up this pace. As for TE, theres 2 TEs on the waiver wire within 7pts of Gonzo, and thats with Gonzo coming off his best game since Nov. 9/2008. Im not even a fan of DMC, though Im coming around on him, and he looks poised to push for #1 RB by the end of the year and a top 5 lock (barring injury). Since you used the "Im giving up more points argument", will you trade me Mike Wallace for Eric Decker? Decker has more points than him. Id would be a nice favor since I helped you out with Gronk.
At least you sold
him on it. I voted against it but Im guessing most others wont/wont see that the trade was even made so Im sure itll go thru.
Why cant people accept these trades when I offer them >:(

I'll pay up when I remember and the time comes. Its not like Im not gonna pay, but if anyone does do that, the MMJ league seemed to have a lot of interest so we'll be able to keep it all intact no prob next year.
Funny that Ruckus hasnt paid yet but was complaining about people not paying him within 2 weeks of him winning the league last year ;)
Actually, come to think of it, I think Ruckus asked me to roll over his winnings from baseball.

Just one one post above your post genius. Read it. Actually, had I not kept bugging you, who knows when you would have paid, if ever. Why don't you just pay him now man? That's the way it's done.
Because of clowns that drag their feet, I put in a new rule this year in the two leagues I run. The payment deadline was made exactly a month after their respective drafts at which point anyone who hasn't paid gets their rosters locked until they paid. Man did that work!
Dylan is not getting paid to put up with this bullshit man. It's annoying to say the least and I understand why he wants it up front. No one should have to track down cash.

Although coming from one who has yet to pay...I'd be down for either of those rules. We could still set a date and lock the rosters out until payment is made, right?
This is retarded. All of you should have paid by now. That's what's wrong with this country, people doing things and paying later or not paying...who are you, Greece?! It takes 5 min and 20$.
also, does anyone want to trade for a RB?? i need help!
Sad to say, but I hit a financial scrape and need all my $$ to pay rent...until FRIDAY. If we can't wait 2 DAYS, then I don't know what to say. I "get" all the anxiety about people not paying EVER, but I dunno....I guess I just don't worry about stuff like this. I always pay what I've agreed to. With no official "YOU-MUST-PAY-BY-THIS-DATE-OR-ELSE" date, I don't see how you can bitch about it. People just have different concepts of time and what is acceptable. With that said, such a date should not be necessary either. How 'bout everybody just pay by next Monday? Just b/c I don't get paid until Friday and I'm then busy ALL weekend.
I'll take a WR, a RB, or a TE! ;)
I'm down with the lockout rule but I'm not the commish. It's Corey's call and Walt should have a say too since he was the original commish. I say if you don't pay by week 6 your roster gets locked.
Got JonT's $. Thank you, sir!

Just sent my share.
It took legwork as well since I couldnt log into paypal, and my email that was linked to paypal I couldnt log into for some reason. Called them up, had a frustrating 33 minute paypal talk with Amber and reset my email address linked to paypal, but we finally worked out the kinks and the call ended with an I love you, Amber. Im just hoping my account doesnt get e-robbed overnight as it was pretty weird I couldnt remember 2 different passwords.
Also AMD, I sent you a PM probably about a year ago asking what your new home address was so I could send you some tunes, because I ascertained you werent living in the same place from when you sent me your CDs. However, you never responded back, so either let me know what your current address is so I can hook it up, or quit using this mixtape trade as a reason for being a douche to me.

Dylan is not getting paid to put up with this bullshit man. It's annoying to say the least and I understand why he wants it up front. No one should have to track down cash.
I dont know what "just one one post above your post" means, but I did backtrack and see on the previous page of the thread you mentioned the baseball carryover. I missed it, but I was kidding anyway man, no worries. I was just going on AMD's post, I dont care enough on who paid to check the thread, and besides, I was pretty sure at least 10 people would be paying anyway since theyre forum regulars.
And the payment rule/date isnt a bad idea, thats how my other money leagues are, its just that going from Teddy KGB "give dat man his money" after the fact last year when whoever won, to making it a pre-draft or first month deal this year would be difficult. Doing it next year wouldnt be a surprise based on this chatter though.

This is retarded. All of you should have paid by now. That's what's wrong with this country, people doing things and paying later or not paying...who are you, Greece?! It takes 5 min and 20$.
also, does anyone want to trade for a RB?? i need help!
Actually it took 33 minutes and $20, but anyway...5 of my first 6 picks were RBs and I need help there, I'll check out your roster.
Also for the rest of the league, Im putting CALVIN JOHNSON on the trading block. The rest of my team sucks, Im already behind the 8ball, Im looking for a serious RB/WR combo offer for him, not necessarily 2 for 1. Megatron is gonna set records this year, but the rest of my team sucks so bad I think I need multiple position help more than best WR in the game.
Glad I didnt draft Gates this year :P

hermeshat @ hotmail.com - paypal
I'll pay up when I remember and the time comes. Its not like Im not gonna pay, but if anyone does do that, the MMJ league seemed to have a lot of interest so we'll be able to keep it all intact no prob next year.
Funny that Ruckus hasnt paid yet but was complaining about people not paying him within 2 weeks of him winning the league last year ;)

I say this is a great rule. Or even pay on or before the draft or you don't draft??
Although coming from one who has yet to pay...I'd be down for either of those rules. We could still set a date and lock the rosters out until payment is made, right?
Hey Hawkeye. Read the thread you responded to. I paid. It was AMD's mistake. I always pay up front. In the meanwhile, you and Cap can continue to well whatever
Yeah I was referring to myself. I don't think I'm going to play in a league again unless everyone pays upfront. I have enough drama in my life :P
I'll pay Monday at the latest :-*
Glad to be 2-2 though with such a shaky team. Gates is down and if Vick goes down I'm in trouble. Sanchize has had some good games but ya can't trust him...

Okay, now I'm just waiting on Corey, Hawkeye, Little Acorn, and True.
@capn - Although you're the one really douching it up in here I thought I'd let you know that I'll stop being a douche to you when I'm good and ready. Good luck this week, maybe if you make one more move, like picking up some 2nd string RB you might have a chance of beating me. How's that worked for you so far?

also, there needs to be some more trash talking in our league. its hard for me to trash talk when Im 0-4, and I cant even bring up my other league because Im 1-3 and just beat the only team that doesnt have a win.

And as for trash talking, the Pickle has to remain silent as I've yet to win.

How about this - everytime I try and pick up a player, I get informed that the player is owned by the Cap'n. Each time it pisses me off for about .03 seconds then I look at your sack of shit team and my frustration turns to elation. So, I salute you for keepin the scrum off my team.

If my team pulls itself out of the cellar, it will undoubtedly be thanks to the Stafford to Megatron combo...Ive watched 4 of the 5 Lions games this year, loving them. My 2nd favorite team right now. DET vs GB on Thanksgiving will be a treat for once
Good game BBill...I was pooping myself at the start of the game last night going against AD and Forte. Bears run D looked a lot tougher than it has the rest of the season, but I guess thats what happens when you got Chunky Soup back there throwing balls into the ground.
I also cant believe I drafted Gronk and Winslow, had Fred Davis on my roster, and Im stuck with the WW garbage left at TE. For how deep TE is this year, man, there are more good WW WRs than TEs. Im looking to trade for a TE, probably in a multiplayer deal. Players Im most likely to trade are Decker (now DEN WR1 with Lloyd traded to STL), DeAngelo, Eli, and Tebow so it would be more likely for me to accept something for those guys than others (and bench guys, but those are my most valuable Id likely trade). FYI, Eli is QB7 right now with more pts than Schaub, Roethlisberger, Freeman, Ryan, Rivers and in the 3 games that Tebow has started and the half game this year, he's averaged over 27ppg. Only Rodgers is averaging more than that right now. He's a below average NFL QB but a very good fantasy QB.
DeAngelo for Fred Davis? Counter if you don't like it...
Pft. That was not a good game Cap'n. ;D
Shhh...don't tell anyone, but Delaney Walker is pretty good.

I thought about snagging Palmer about a week ago, but couldn't justify a roster spot for such a stretch...WHY AM I HOLDING ON TO RONNIE BROWN!? I don't wish injury on anyone but I'll sure look stupid if I hang on to him all year and he never plays. If McCoy goes down though, he could be huge...right...?

Pshh, I only have top 10 QBs on my roster. I dont even have anybody worth dropping for that bum. Only league I tried to pick him up in is my start 2 QBs league where every starter is rostered where I actually picked up Christian Ponder yesterday. I cant believe OAK gave up 2 first round picks for him, talk about shooting your up and coming team in the foot with a 32yr old QB who doesnt have his arm strength anymore and hasnt been any good since he tore his ACL. Thats the best thing the Bungals have done since making the playoffs once in the last 20+ years in 2006.
Good thing you picked up Carson though when one of my brethren, Capt. Concussion aka Jahvid Best, has another concussion and you couldve picked up his backup!!!

I chuckled when I just saw you dropped the current starting RB for the Colts instead of Ronnie Brown
Call me crazy...I think (hope) Addai is coming back. Carter has been underwhelming to me. he'd only play in the flex spot, and I have receivers I'd rather play there. Matthews and Thomas have their bye weeks over with, so as long as they stay healthy, I'm not worried about my RB's...they're as good as they're gonna get. C'mon, McCoy, twist an ankle already! ;D
Ronnie Brown just got traded to the Lions because Best is out for an unknown length of time...good call Hawkeye! ;D ;D ;D

I made fun of you for picking up Palmer over MoMo because you have Jahvid, I wouldve picked him up if I had anyone worth dropping for him but dont think I do. I think Jackie Battle will be the real deal and Greg Little is going light it up sooner rather than later now that he's starting, maybe even this week, just watch. I think that was a much better deal for me, and arguably a better deal for you. I think Decker could be even better with Lloyd gone (his best game was when Lloyd sat out) but Tebow could make him inconsistent and kill his value. I wanted to trade him the least of the 3. And like I said in the PM I think, I bet Torain is hurt within 2-3 weeks, so I think Hightower has more value than people realize right now. Torain is paper mache. I still dont trust Shanahan though, never again.
After taking it, Ive warmed up to Clark actually. Painter has been much better than expected, and if he keeps locking in on Garcon he's going to be open more, plus Clark's best game of the year was last week and he got his most targets as well.
Do you want Pierre so you have the Saints RB trifecta? I'll do Pierre for Starks, but I think thats the only option because I dont like any of your other players that arent clearly more valuable than Pierre.

Hightower was looking nice before the injury too, I was kind of regretting it for a minute. Ingram had his best game of the year though, and I think Decker will still be solid, I actually traded for him in my other league.
Penny - not that you need my advice, but Id bench Hines and Andre Johnson for Gaffney and Crabtree. Johnson definitely isnt playing, and I dont expect Hines too. Even if he's active, I expect it to be the Wallace, Brown, and Sanders show. Wouldnt be a bad idea to pickup Beanie's backup Alfonso Smith in case he doesnt play, or a Donald Brown or Keiland Williams so you at least get pts at RB since Hillis almost definitely isnt going to play either.
...and I also say this because literally over half of Acorn's current starting lineup is on a bye so if you dont get zero's from those 2 WRs and 1-2 RBs you should be good.
Yim's Pickle to keep my season alive. That is 6 consecutive losses since I jinxed Clarkwork. :'(

I haven't been doing that great since either, but 6 straight is tough. Still time for any team to go on a win streak though.
A drama filled evening to follow
My thoughts exactly. 13.07 points from my RB and TE and I'm most likely in. Lots of scenarios here!
Good luck everybody! I pretty much stayed in 9th place all year with the exception of the first few weeks. By the way, everyone has paid except the commish.
Disappointed Im not going to have a shot at the playoffs since my team is much better now than its 0-4 start after all the trades I made, and 2 of my 3 losses since then were directly from McCoy and Knox's hands down best weeks of the year, not to mention my 2pt loss to Ruckus where Finley decided to score 3 of his 6TDs on the year the 1 week I played him. Oh well, cant dig yourself in a 0-4 hole like that.
I do find it funny that there are only 4 players on my roster that I drafted, 3 of which were my top 3 picks, and I still almost made the playoffs ;D

Headdy, I honestly thought your team was by far the most improved from the start of the year. Your team scares me, and I'm glad you're not making it in :P I couldn't swing a deal to get a decent running back, but at least Helu is playing now, or I'd be screwed. Picking up Cruz halfway through the season saved me too, what a surprise he was! And IF I make the playoffs because of this week's potential win, thank you Percy. Interested to see what happens to DJax after this awful year. Oh and apparently Fred Davis is done for 4 games after failing a drug test, so Gates better stay healthy! What would I ever do without fantasy football... :D

Yeah, I like my current team so much I benched Mendy and SJax this week because they had bad matchups and couldnt bench Lloyd or Laurent with how hot they have been...Pretty pissed I started off so bad, but its mostly my own fault for drafting a shit team and trading Gronk, which is easily the worst trade/transaction in a vacuum Ive ever done in 15 or so years of FF...Wanting Ingram's handcuff that bad was so dumb even without hindsight. If Clarkwork wins, I should get 10% of his payout for that one ;D
I like how your team is looking right now Hawkeye. Cruz has been arguably the best WW pickup of the year. I think this was the first week in about 2 months Nicks scored more than him. DJax has always been hit or miss, but its surprising how many "miss" games he's had this year. If Im you, Im starting Cruz/Harvin/Marshall/Antonio over him regardless of matchup the next few weeks, and thats as much because of how good those 4 are playing as DJax has been bad. If you can get good QB production and Mathews can stay healthy, I think your team is dangerous. Looks like Vick will be back this week, but Philly's playoff schedule has to be 1 of the toughest going: MIA, NYJ, DAL....another bad move by me was dropping JPP in like week 3 and then you picked him up, d'oh!
So my team pretty much sucked this year, I was banking on the Chargers being good and they've been one of the most disappointing teams in the NFL this year. Chris Johnson's terrible start really hurt me too.
I had a chance to get the 2 seed and a bye in one of my leagues but that didn't pan out. My team was 3-4 at one point, and then someone stupidly dropped Jordy Nelson and I snatched him up. He then proceeded to go on a tear and I went on a 5 game winning streak. Picking up Cam Newton when Vick was showing early signs of struggling helped me out too. Newton and Percy Harvin both got 40 each yesterday, but it wasn't enough to beat a non playoff team who put up 151 to my 140. I was in second place for just one week and will now fall to 4th place. Matt Forte going down early really hurt my chances. I've had a lot of injuries to deal with this year - Miles Austin, Mike Vick, and Ahmad Bradshaw. Losing Matt Forte really spreads me thin at RB, probably will have to go with Bradshaw (who didn't do much in his first game back), and Mike Tolbert next week.
Ah, the other league. ;D
Well, my team took a shit. Oh well. ;D I feel like I drafted well, just didn't have enough steam to keep up with maintaining my team this year.
I'm rootin' for Ruckus in the playoffs - I feel like he's the Raiders of our league. ;D
I need a place to vent on fantasy football in general. :P

Ah, the other league. ;D
You probably wouldve heard a lot more of that from me this year in that regard, except my team in that league was even worse, go figure (drafted DWill, Ingram, etc there too)...I think I ended up 5-8, havent bothered to look in the last couple days. I was 4-8 though, and started Tebow over Cam because I played my buddy from Bama who may actually despise Tebow more than Newton, and wanted to knock him out of contention with Tebow. I
think I pulled it off, by also starting my last year's bust WW pickup CJ Spiller :D ;D

I'll have to look at it later in the week, but I cant root for Rob...Im pretty sure he gets all his info off NFL Network fantasy show since he had it on repeat when I was in B'More preseason.
Like I said the other day, I think Im rooting for Hawkeye because he has had an underdog team the entire year, but things are clicking now. I really liked Walts team a few weeks ago, but he's had some injury probs so not sure how much of a favorite he is anymore (Arian has a great playoff sched though). I also hope Clarkwork's team shits the bed, esp Gronk, unless he will agree to cut me off a piece of the pie if he wins before the games start this week ;D

Now for Rodgers to get concussed in the 1st quarter...Thanks to Clarkwork (who anti jinxed me), got to go on that little run from 3-6 to backdoor an invitation to a 1st round loss. My team is still doo doo

I agree with AMD as well...We should have some predetermined cutoff for payment, but our league isnt high enough stakes where Id say it should be before the draft. Maybe like week 4 or something?
Id also be for raising the pricetag but I dont think most agreed when I brought it up before this season.

I actually don't see me beating Ruckus in the first round. I beat JonT last week barely with everything I had. I don't see me putting up those same numbers this week.
I'm interested in higher stakes next year if everyone else is.
If anyone is interested in playing fantasy basketball this year, pm me. Walt, his brother and I have been in a league together for a number of years but we don't have many managers beyond that. No buy in, just bragging rights.

Bad Mofos are rolling. So is Walt. Should be good championship game!
What are the payouts?
PS- I know we don't talk about our other leagues, but this is worth mentioning. I have a guy in one of my leagues that is going to be 15-0 after this week. One more week away from an undefeated season. That's crazy. Anyone ever seen that before?
In my other league I've only lost one game and it was to my Dad and it's the only win he has all season. That being said, it looks like I'm going to lose in the playoffs this week. I've never seen an undefeated team though.
I've never seen an undefeated team before, only one loss teams. Good luck in the finals fellas.
Also never seen an undefeated season. I don't think I had ever even seen a win streak like Walt had this year...what was it 9-10 games?
I don't want to jinx myself like Ruckus, but if Antonio Brown gets 29.33 points, I'm in this ;D Harvin, Cruz, Helu, and Gates all had down weeks for me. JPP is a beast tho, I must say.
Man, Hawkeye I thought you were done. That was dick move to count you out. Good luck tonight!

Not too sad I didnt make the playoffs anymore as I wouldve lost last week anyway.

I'll need to look at the rules, but are we getting points for special teams' play? And I suppose I'll still be playing next week for 3rd vs. 4th place, right? I hope Bob Sanders has a big comeback year, and I know Ed Reed was thinking about retirement...I hope he comes to play...he is a ball hawk so I thought it was worth the chance. 1st place Reg season - 40 - Walts
Playoff champ - 120 - Walts
Playoff 2nd - 60 - JonT
Playoff 3rd - 20 - Hawkeye
Still waiting on the commish's money, but I'll facebook him about and front him if I need to.
